Billy Ray Cyrus caught wind of Miley Cyrus' bong scandal and turned to his Twitter fans for emotional support."Sorry guys. I had no idea. Just saw this stuff for the first time myself. I'm so sad. There is much beyond my control right now," he wrote on Twitter.
A video obtained by TMZ shows the 'Hannah Montana' star taking hits from a bong that was reportedly filled with a natural herb called salvia, which when smoked has psychedelic qualities. Possession of salvia is currently legal in California. The video was reportedly taken five days after Miley turned 18.

It is very sad... But not unexpected. As a parent of an 18 yr old and 22 yr old, you have to expect that they are going to go out there and experiment with life. I did it when I was that age and she is no different than the average teenager. I just hope it isn't a cry for help. And to know that her "friends" taped this and then it ended up on the internet...doesn't sound like much of a friend to me.

Did you ever think that maybe she doesn't WANT to be a goody-two-shoe role model, or ever wanted to be? What she is doing may be legal, but is she even thinking of her fans that are under 10 years old? you know, they see her doing that, and when these kids get older they make think "hey she does it, i guess its okay", and these kids might actually start doing other drugs.

I don't understand why eveyone is so shocked. She is acting like the majority of the 18 year olds out there. There are a lot of unknows doing the same thing everyday, but they are not famous, so no one thinks twice about it. Don't get me wrong. I am not defending her behavior.
