What a Hassle: 'The Hasselhoffs' Axed After 2 Episodes

Some bad news greeted David Hasselhoff today as he rehearses for a London production of 'Peter Pan': A&E has canceled his new reality show after only two episodes.

The network announced the offing of 'The Hasselhoffs' late Thursday. It premiered Dec. 5 with 718,000 viewers but the audience dipped to 505,000 for its second half-hour episode.

The show centered on the 'Baywatch' alum as he guides the entertainment careers of his daughters Taylor Ann and Hayley. The remaining eight episodes will likely be left off the schedule.

PopEater columnist Rob Shuter spoke to the Hoff family recently on his not-canceled HDNet show, 'Naughty But Nice,' and the 'Knight Rider' actor sounded confident about the new show.

"We face life head on," he said. "Our family is about honesty. We are not trying to be famous. We are famous. The show shows how hard it is to stay on top and that's what I want to show world."

Hasselhoff is currently in London doing theater work but as PopEater has reported, he is in talks to replace Simon Cowell as head judge on 'Britain's Got Talent' there.

Ahhhhh that's too bad. Not totally unexpected though hahahaaaaa. They say that an alcoholic doesn't progress above the age of 16 emotionally and this seems to be the case here. His VERY BRIEF appearance on DWTS showed just how immature and bone headed he is.

You misunderstood the reference. They say alcoholics don't progress past the age they started drinking - if its 16, sobeit - until they stop and enter a program.

Thank god. This is, FINALLY, the future of "reality tv". Too bad this didn't happen to the show with Shnookie or any of the househookers...I mean houseWIVES shows.

The public has had enough of this fecal matter to last a generation. It's time for the TV producers to show a little effort and bring some kind of quality to entertainment...or at least make some effort, which they haven't had to do with this "reality" sh!t.

I couldnt stand watching 2 minutes of that show. Seriously all the bickering and yelling the two girls do was too much and really annoying. I'm not surprised it was canceled.

Good,one down and so many more to go! Next one to go should be the Porn Star - Kendra, then the feuding motorcyle builders. A really good show(NOT), tattooed foul mouth old man and his two lazy azzed sons. Fifty grand for a motorcycle that could be bought a year later for 20 grand, no thanks!
