Selena Gomez Denies Dating Justin Bieber

Good news for a certain population of feverish fans in love with a 16-year-old Canadian singer: Justin Bieber isn't getting serious with fellow teen-pop sensation Selena Gomez, after all.

At least that's what Gomez, 18, told MTV News this weekend at Jingle Ball 2010, where she firmly denied that her recent outing with Bieber at a Philadelphia breakfast spot was proof of a new romance. (Like, can't two friends dig into some tasty flapjacks and syrup without launching the next great American love story?)

"It was pancakes. Who doesn't like pancakes?" she said. "We were both performing in the same place so we went and had pancakes together. That's all it is. All innocent."

Gomez opened up to MTV back in February about how she first developed feelings -- platonic feelings -- for the hitmaker she views as a brother: "I love Justin. When he first started to come over from Canada, his manager contacted me, and said that he would like to meet me. And he was just such a good kid....And I feel like a big sister now, 'cause I want to protect him....Now he's just become one of my good friends."

Bieber was spotted making out with Jasmine Villegas (co-star in his smash hit 'Baby' video) in the backseat of a Honda earlier this year, but his camp has not confirmed that he's dating anyone at the moment.

If Disney star Gomez -- who was born when her mom was just 16, and reportedly began wearing a 'purity ring' at age 12 -- is indeed a big-sister figure in Bieber's life, she might simply be counseling the 16-year-old to take it slow on the road to growing up.

Justin Bieber is a homo so why try to make a fairytale that he's straight and dating.I love this , So does My boyfriend .he is almost 11year older than me .i met him via aged'ate.c'om a nice place for seeking age le ss love.which gives you a chance to make your life better and open opportunities for you to meet the attractive young girls and treat you like a king. Very cute, Doris. But why do you perpetuate what middle-school kids think is important? Whether Justin is gay or not shouldn't make any difference to ANYONE, to say nothing of him being a legitimate sensation that looks younger than 16, and girls love EVERYTHING about him! Entertainment needs more like him.

about this gomez dating Bieber. What is this Hepburn ,Tracy? The system tryiig to make STARS out of no talent kids. I know there is a drought of talent, with the likes of Lady Ga Ga, getting a freaks attention but i'm so grateful to be born when there were geniune stars , like the Bogarts and Gables, even little Shirley temple.But now Ga Ga , Bieber? Who is Gomez? trying to appeal to the latin crowd? I feel very sorry for todays youth . They think this is it.

If you don't know who she is, how do you know she doesn't have talent? This is the entertainment section, they aren't going to report on what dead stars are doing. There is plenty of great talent out there. And bad, just like always. People have a choice and can still buy old movies and music too. To each his own!
