One Rough Camping Trip Later, Kate Thinks She Has Political Ambitions

Following Kate Gosselin's televised (and rough) camping trip with Sarah Palin, the mom of eight is now telling friends she too has political ambitions and would some day like to run for office.

"Honestly, Kate is unbelievable," an insider tells me. "Her ego is out of control at this point. Ever since 'Dancing With the Stars,' and the fact that she appeared on more consecutive covers of US Weekly than any celebrity ever, she thinks that she has what it takes to run for office."

The unlikely duo of Kate and Sarah was the brainchild of TLC, the network home for both of their reality shows. Pairing them on the latest episode of 'Sarah Palin's Alaska,' which aired last night, helped bump ratings up 11 per cent. As Us put it, the two had "zero chemistry" and Kate has called the trip "the worst" of her life.

"After meeting and spending time with Sarah, Kate realized that if she could run for office then so could Kate," a friend of Gosslin's tells me. "Sarah does have a little bit more experience than Kate does in office but what they have in common is huge. They are both famous reality stars that you either love or hate. They both are beautiful and have a way of getting everyone's attention."

Oh yeah, and both have appeared on the biggest television show in America, 'Dancing With the Stars,' though Sarah was just a spectator. (A very, very, very influential spectator, of course.)

Let see we have whats her name up in Minnasota who can make two words stick together without looking like and idiot. Then you Christine O'Donnal another idiot, then of course you have the governor of Arizona she is a real winner, then there is good old girl who totes around with a rifle in Alaska who can't remember where Russia is let alone any other country you know her Sarah the former governor of Alaska who bayled on the people. Diane, Do you have any idea where Russia is in relation to Alaska? The east coast of Alaskas is on the Bering Strait, and the west coast of Russian is on the Bering Strait. While she can't literally see Russia from her backyard, it is "just across the Strait". I sincerely doubt her statement was ever meant to be taken literally. And no, I'm not a Palin fan, but am so sick of hearing about the Alaska/Russia statement from people who have no idea where the two are in relation to each other.

In what country is she thinking about running for office ? She needs to start small..running for room mother at whatever school her kids are in this week.What qualifications does she have ? Being blatantly annoying doesn't qualify. Maybe she was hall monitor in elementary school. We all know she wouldn't make'soccer mom'; one has to have intelligence for that job.
