'Dexter' Stars Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter File for Divorce
After two years of marriage, actor
Michael C. Hall and actress Jennifer Carpenter are calling it quits, their reps confirm to
Entertainment Weekly. The two star together on the hit Showtime show 'Dexter' as brother and sister.
"Having been separated for some time, Jennifer Carpenter and Michael C. Hall have filed for divorce," the reps said in a joint statement. Both reps stressed the split was amicable.
Hall, 31, and Carpenter, 31, met on the set of 'Dexter' and soon began dating. They married on December 28, 2008. Carpenter praised Hall to
PEOPLE at the time, saying he is "the sexiest man alive. He's one of the best we've got. He's an incredible talent and if anyone deserves accolades, it's him."
Access Hollywood reports that Carpenter attended Sunday night's fifth season finale party in New York City alone--Hall was a no show.
Hall finished up cancer treatments earlier this year in his battle against Hodgkin's lymphoma and is "fully recovered" according to a statement Carpenter made in April.
"I feel fortunate to have been diagnosed with an imminently treatable and curable condition, and I thank my doctors and nurses for their expertise and care," Hall said at the time.
It was announced earlier this week that 'Dexter' will be picked up for a sixth season having garnered rave reviews and high viewer numbers since the show hit the air in 2006. The show, which stars Hall as good-guy serial killer Dexter Morgan and Carpenter as his detective sister, boasted 2.54 million viewers for a single episode last month, making it the show's second highest-watched episode to date.

LoL, I have to agree with you on that one...she is quite manly looking if you ask me.
And you look like something on the bottom of my foot after running barefoot through my lawn. No! wait! actually something at the bottom of my toilette after I've eaten a bean burrito. Stop making fun of people just because you don't like what you see in the mirror. It must be horrible for you to wake up, look in the mirror, and realize that your the product of bad genes. I'm soooo sorry for you really I am, but guess what? plastic surgery does a face good.
I don't know these people and have no right to an opinion, esp. as I'm a two-time loser in marriage, but I can't say I'm surprised, because these two great actors and seemingly nice people just don't look like a couple or have much chemistry, at least on screen. Carpenter looked great with that actor who played "Rudy," and Hall is perfect with Julia Stiles. But Carpenter and Hall together onscreen look like strangers and have zero chemistry, even after all these years. I know the screen and real life are different, and they play brother and sister, but some couples just pop on screen no matter what, and these two don't. But I love the show and admire both of these actors, and I wish them all the best and happy times in future.

I love watchong Dexter and i nevr miss a show.I only recently found ove they were married and it breaks my heart.I hope they stay friends and i am so glad Michael Hall is doing better he kept being sick a big secreti will keep praying for them both
Micheal C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter did have chemistry and this was displayed throughout seasons 1-3. You'd have to be blind not to see that something was going on between the two, given the way they looked at each other while doing scenes together. It's evident in scene one episode 1 season 1 and again through out season 2 and definitely in season 3 episode 10 and 11. Let's not forget that the two were playing brother and sister so, there was only so much chemistry they could display without looking creepy. Also, you've been divorced twice so it isn't a surprise that you would miss what was going on between the two. It's simple body language reading, something everyone learns in like-I don't know the 10 grade.
Oh well, I think he is Gay anyway.

Whether Michael C. Hall (or anyone else, for that matter) is gay or not is irrelevant. It simply doesn't matter.
