Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens Call it Quits

After four years of heartfelt ballads and impeccable hair, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens have ended their relationship, E!Online reports.

The couple met while filming the first installment of Disney mega-hit 'High School Musical' and began their romance shortly thereafter.

A source tells Gossip Cop that the split was "amicable," after the stars recognized that their relationship "wasn't going to go further."

Although the couple appeared affectionate toward one another throughout their relationship, there were signs that trouble was brewing.

Earlier this year, while promoting 'Charlie St. Cloud,' 23-year-old Efron told Details, "Believe me, I wrack my brain thinking, 'Why am I not out there playing the field?' One of my buddies was like, 'You have no idea what's going on right now. You're peaking on Ecstasy and you're watching TV.' But it's not in my heart."

Despite the split, the E! source says that the pair is dedicated to maintaining their friendship.

I am not surprised that Zac and Vanessa have broken up...

They were way too young, and I am sorry but they don't match.
I think that Zac can do better...
But think that they should be be consentrating on their careers

This is too bad but you never know they may take a break and then realize they really belong together. That was the whole success of the High School Musicals, they were so cute together. That is why i loved them..
