Mariah Carey Hits High Note in Duet With MomMariah Carey knows how to use what her mama gave her, a fact made evident during her ABC Christmas Special last night.

Carey, who hosted 'Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas to You' at LA's Orpheum Theater, was joined on stage by her mother Patricia, a vocal coach, whose operatic trills wowed the audience almost as much as the pregnant diva's five-octave range.

The mother-daughter duo performed a modern take on the classic 'O Come All Ye Faithful/Hallelujah Chorus,' earning them a standing ovation from the audience.

The younger Carey's second Christmas album, 'Merry Christmas II You,' hit shelves in early November.
