Chloe Sevigny: No More Sex Scenes for Me!

With the fifth and final season of HBO's 'Big Love' beginning in January, actress Chloe Sevigny sat down for a candid interview in January's Playboy where she talks about everything from wanting kids and onscreen nudity to bad-mouthing the show and her very controversial oral sex scene with Vincent Gallo in 'The Brown Bunny.'

"I'd like to find someone to procreate with -- as sexy as that sounds," Sevigny tells Playboy Contributing Editor Stephen Rebello. "If you're out and about and fit the description, come up and say hi. I won't bite. Well, maybe a little, if you're lucky."

Earlier this year, Sevigny caused a stir when she lamented the quality of 'Big Love's' fourth season in an AV Club interview. Describing the season as "awful," the 'Boys Don't Cry' actress went on to say, "It was very telenovela. I feel like it kind of got away from itself. The whole political campaign seemed to me very far-fetched ... Me and the girls [co-stars Jeanne Tripplehorn and Ginnifer Goodwin] definitely were not very happy with where it was going."

At the time, Sevigny seemed aware that voicing her dissent with the show's direction was likely to ruffle some feathers at HBO. "I'm not allowed to say that!" the actress added. "God, I'm going to get in so much trouble."

And get in trouble she did, as she revealed to Playboy: "I got into a lot of trouble. It was a huge thing on the Internet. Yeah, I got a little talking-to ... I just felt it was a weaker season than others. I shouldn't have said it."

Sevigny also discussed the nudity featured on the HBO hit, revealing that her onscreen husband Bill Paxton "likes to get his kit off and he looks great," but that viewers shouldn't expect any nudity this season from her or her female co-stars. "Although I have done nudity on the show, the other girls won't do topless. I don't want to be the show's Samantha, like on 'Sex and the City' -- the only woman who'll do nudity," Sevigny said. "So I refused to do any more and there was a lot of back-and-forth about it."

The 'Kids' actress was once well-known for her comfort with onscreen sex and nudity, but her notorious scene in 'The Brown Bunny,' where Sevigny performed un-simulated oral sex on 'Bunny' star and director Vincent Gallo, has seemingly changed her mind about participating in explicit sex scenes. "I'll probably have to go to therapy at some point ... I'm proud of it [the movie] and my performance. I'm sad that people think one way of the movie, but what can you do?" the actress asked. "I've done many explicit sex scenes, but I'm not that interested in doing any more. I'm more self-aware now and wouldn't be able to be as free, so why even do it?"

She also addressed her past drug use, saying, "It wasn't like I was a big druggie; it was just kind of a side thing, something that went hand in hand with me falling in with that crowd, the rejects. I don't think I ever bought anything; it was just sort of there."

With the final season of 'Big Love' filmed, the Oscar-nominated actress is returning her focus to her big screen efforts. She'll next be seen in the 2011 indie 'The Wait' opposite Jena Malone ('Sucker Punch,' 'Into the Wild') and Luke Grimes ('Brothers & Sisters').

She's right, last season of BL was awful. Glad this is the last season. And good for her to stop doing nude/sex scenes, but after Brown Bunny? You probably should have stopped before THAT movie. Good luck CS, big fan.

chloe is great,i really don't know why she is on taht show at all,shes better than that.shes a really good actress and as long as she continues making movies,i'll be watching.reminds me the first time i ever saw her was in "kids",intense movie and should be shown more often.

She'll be naked with in a year when that show ends.

Although I haven't seen "The Brown Bunny," and such an ill-advised stunt will follow Chloe forever, her tentative and lovely performance in "The Last Days of Disco" excuses all for me. She will no doubt do great work in the future.

Also, she would have gotten paid more than the crap she got paid to do what she did.I think she was high & got caught up in the moment. He was her boyfriend at the time...
