Julianne Hough's Music Video Too Hot for CMT?

Julianne Hough shed some clothes in the video for her latest single, 'Is That So Wrong,' and according to reports it was too wrong for Country Music Television (CMT). The video features the former 'Dancing With the Stars' beauty playfully romping around her apartment wearing next to nothing and showing off some sexy dance moves.

Julianne hinted at a ban in Baltimore last weekend during a radio-sponsored Christmas concert. "This next song -- funny story," she told the packed audience. "I shot a music video for it, and Country Music Television banned it. Apparently, I was taking off too many clothes as I was dancing across my bedroom."

But CMT denies any ban has occurred, instead telling CNN that they aren't playing 'Is That So Wrong' because of a hiccup in contract negotiations. It comes down to this: CMT and its parent company MTV are currently in talks with VEVO, which distributes all videos from Hough's label. Until that can be worked out, no Julianne in her underwear for you!

The network is not the only one shying away from the clip, as it is also NOWHERE to be found on YouTube or the video search engine Truveo and has been removed from several other websites. One of the only sites still hosting the video is the not-shady-sounding-at-all YouClubVideo.com, which given the flood of traffic today is predictably having a hard time staying online.

I mean, the song is beautiful...and so is she..and she can dance like no one else...but frankly I don't think there was a reason for her to strip down so much. I actually thought it took away from the song. I'm not surprised they banned it.

I want to know how the he11 this qualifies as country music? Is the video set in the country? The mountains? The outdoors? Animals, nature, open country, open skies, or quiet deep lakes shown? No, it's some city scene of some bimbo singing and dancing. Just like everything else, the entertainment industry executives have destroyed another genre of entertainment. Disgusting.

Jim country music died 25 years ago, what you see today is warmed over pop music, maybe they throw in the occasional steel guitar or a fiddle now and again but it is nothing like the country music I grew up with and is country music in name only

I agree with Jennifer, why do a strip tease dance? It took away from her as a professional and away from the song.
I'm not sure why anyone thought this belonged in the song in the first place. I'd listen to the song on the radio, but don't want to see the video again.

But you should watch the video again and look for what's really upsetting you all..subconsciously!

Julianne is one of my favorite professional dancer on dancing with the stars b/c she's so exciting to watch and lively. She has so much to offer but I was very disappointed by this video. I don't understand why to many talented musicians think they have to dress down their body and De-value themselves to get their message across. She has a beautiful voice and this whole running around her appt. taking her clothes off really does take away from the music. This video deserves a spot on MTV and not on CMT, which funny I don't even watch all that much. Kudos to CMT for having a level of standard they stand on, maybe I'll stay tune to their network now more than ever.

The video is definitely hot, but disappointing that she's going with the whole sex sells mentality. She could be as popular, if not more popular if she toned it down. She'd at least be more popular for the right reasons.
