Julianne Hough's Music Video Too Hot for CMT?
Julianne Hough shed some clothes in the video for her latest single, 'Is That So Wrong,' and according to reports it was
too wrong for
Country Music Television (CMT). The video features the former 'Dancing With the Stars' beauty playfully romping around her apartment wearing next to nothing and showing off some sexy dance moves.
Julianne hinted at a ban in Baltimore last weekend during a radio-sponsored Christmas concert. "This next song -- funny story," she told the packed audience. "I shot a music video for it, and Country Music Television banned it. Apparently, I was taking off too many clothes as I was dancing across my bedroom."
But CMT denies any ban has occurred, instead telling
CNN that they aren't playing 'Is That So Wrong' because of a hiccup in contract negotiations. It comes down to this: CMT and its parent company MTV are currently in talks with VEVO, which distributes all videos from Hough's label. Until that can be worked out, no Julianne in her underwear for you!
The network is not the only one shying away from the clip, as it is also NOWHERE to be found on YouTube or the video search engine
Truveo and has been removed from several other websites. One of the only sites still hosting the video is the not-shady-sounding-at-all YouClubVideo.com, which given the flood of traffic today is predictably having a hard time staying online.

She is a great dancer, but I don't see why she needed to take off all the clothes. To be honest, I was paying more attention to the beautiful background scenery. If that is really her appartment, I would love that view!!

That seemed pretty mild to the likes of madonna and some others. Hell Miley cyrus last vid was way worse than this and shes a role model for our kids, right, not.

Definitely agree with you here. Her video is much less racy than that of the pop varieties. Up until the end when she takes off her shirt, I didn't even think it was that racy. Why would she be in a sweater and jeans hanging out in her apartment? I certainly don't. Shoulda kept her shirt on but whatever, she's got a hot bod so she can pull it off anyways.
Not cool. great voice... I applaud Country Music for banning it. That's not necessary to sell records...look at every other big artist! Bad move, Julianne

I love her & the song is beautiful. Instead of doing gymnastics across her bedroom while taking off her clothes, a nice lyrical number would have been more appropriate.
I found it totally harmless. She is unquestionably very beautiful, has a perfect body, and an amazing voice. We all know the girl can dance. I guess she has it all, including Ryan Seacrest.

Truthfully, I see nothing wrong with this video. She only took off two articles of clothing. Besides, a bra and those tiny shorts is more than what some people wear on the streets now a days, not that I support that. I do agree that it might be too revealing however she had fun and she's showing off her talents which is what talents are for. She is an incredible dancer and a rather good singer and I think that by banning the video you are some what holding back her talents in some way.

I think CMA made the wrong choice. I enjoyed the video and I think Juliana is a great singer and dancer.
This isn't the first time that an artist has decided to do something different for a video.

Much as I love her, the posters here are correct. She should not go down the stripper road to sell her music. She sings great and I don't even like country music.
Oh and I thought Seacrest was gay...
