'Furious' Lady Gaga Forced to Cancel Concert in Paris

Lady Gaga isn't having much luck in Paris.

In October, the 'Poker Face' singer's concerts in Paris were postponed amid nationwide strikes over a government plan to raise the retirement age. One show was rescheduled for Sunday, but it was called off because of snow. The weather led authorities to ban big trucks from driving through Paris, so Lady Gaga's trucks couldn't get to the venue on time.

The diva vented on Twitter, writing that 28 of the trucks carrying sets for her elaborate show had been detained. She said had wanted to do a show without the sets, but even sound and power equipment was blocked. "I am furious and devastated," she wrote, adding that it was "unfair to my fans and to me."

"I promise to give you the nights of your life," she added.

A concert Monday is expected to go forward as planned, and the canceled show is likely to be rescheduled for Tuesday, Bercy said.

Lady Gaga also wrote that two of her employees were "arrested trying to get into Paris so we could perform," without elaborating. French police, the singer's representatives and the concert venue did not immediately return calls and e-mails seeking comment on that claim.

One of the best shows I ever saw was Hank Jr. alone with a six string. If she had talent, she wouldn't need all that garbage.

This is what happens when "stars" get star happy and they think the world revolves around them. They expect people to do as they say. If you can't play by the rules then don't play there.

LADY GAGA...very disappointed to learn that you indulged in "poor taste Diva antics" and decided your show outweighed the safety of you "Little Monsters."
I am an "older fan" and probably would be one of those fans that would be an idiot and venture out in inclement weather to see your show and risk getting in an accident. But by canceling the show and rescheduling shows you truly LOVE, your "Little Monsters."
Still a fan, your a phenomenal talented singer and artist, but I have to say that that tweet changes my perception of you.

What concern should she have had for her fans? Nowhere did it state that civilians were being kept off the roads. Just giant trucks. If the Paris government wasn't concerned enough to shut down the roads then why should Lady Gaga worry about people's ability to get to her concert? Seems like someone started preaching without actually reading the whole article.

People always think that the weather isn't as bad as it seems. But think about the Notre Dame AD and head football coach thinking it wasn't that windy, when the cherry picker with the student filming practice blew over killing the student.

Or when the weather at the airport is sunny, and yet a flight is delayed or cancelled because of weather at the destination.

As frustrating as things are, safety is paramount.

If Lady Gaga's trucks had made it into Paris, it's possible that the venue could have been very empty.

This way, everyone can make the show without fear of sliding off the road or getting stuck in a snowbank.

Even the people of Paris have way more important things in there lives to worry about than a concert. This is a big joke to me
it just could not get less important. That said let her spend her time over in europe I am sure they are happy to have her???
