Oops! 'Teen Mom' Amber Regrets Getting Huge Tattoo

Headline-making 'Teen Mom' star Amber Portwood made a dramatic gesture last week by getting an enormous portrait of her 2-year-old daughter Leah tattooed on her torso. But with all that ink barely dry, friends tell me she's already regretting it!

"Amber wanted to prove that she never wanted to lose custody of her daughter again, but had no idea how painful and sore she would be," an insider tells me. "Now she is having to sleep on her back or right-hand side and can't take it anymore."

Amber's life has been a roller coaster since appearing on the ginormous MTV show. The 20-year-old mother has been charged with domestic violence for allegedly assaulting her baby's father, Gary Shirley, and even lost custody of her baby for a while after The Department of Child Protective Services placed Leah with her father until Amber purchased her a proper bed.

"In that moment it seemed like a great idea to get a tattoo and show the entire world how much she loved Leah, but now it doesn't seem like such a great decision," a friend of Amber's tells me. "When the pain goes away Amber will be left with a massive picture of a baby's face on her stomach."

Now that it's mentioned, that will be a pretty awkward moment when some guy she's dating looks down at her stomach and sees a little girl staring back at him! Talk about a mood killer!

Like I've said before, children shouldn't be having children and now we can add tattoos to that as well.

That is a bad tattoo. It's going to be painful if she wants to get it removed. And how can she even afford a tattoo? She should've spent that money on her daughter.

A tat that big is probably un-removable. Anyway, any person who marks up their body for life is just plain stupid. I regard tattoos the same way I regard smoking cigarettes.

Some mothers are young but are amazing parents. Just because some young parents aren't good at parenting doesnt make the rest of us bad parents as well. I had my son at 19 and yes I was young but I got my stuff together and did what I needed to get done in order to have my baby be braought in a loving safe home . He is the best thing has ever happened to me and is my life. I am not a "kid" having a "kid" I was a young adult that got pregnant with my boyfriend and we were able to act like the mature adults we are in order to make my son have a wonderful life. He is the happiest baby I know and the sweetest and because I know my boyfriend and I are doing a wonderful job being his parents.

So anyways that qoute just irritated me because not everyone is a "child having a child" I guess it can mean that the people acting like "children" shouldnt be having children but if it just means all young people in general then I stand by what I said.

I don't think it was meant to be an offensive statement. When a 30 year old hears about a nineteen year old having a baby they'll think "that's a child having a child" because you were a teenager still. 9TEEN. I think it just depends on a person's age difference too because a 37 year old mother might think a 21 year old mother is too young. But these girls were 16, not 19 not 21, 16. They still had prom to go to, field trips, etc..they still had to finish high school. It's a good thing that you stepped up but some of these teen mothers like Amber made stupid decisions and have made it even harder to raise their babies. Besides all that, it's better to be 100% set with your life and married before having children. That's the more responsible way to go.

I don't even think it looks like Leah. And I would love to know how much it cost. Tattoos are not cheap. Not to mention I see she has her nails done. How does she pay for all of this???

Not to mention her horable fake tan that cost money. I'm sick of seeing all these shows on MTV or others about people who have no job ,no place to live and have to sell cans for gas money. If you really look at them they drink, smoke, tats, hair colored, piercings and fake tans. These all cost alot of money so I do not buy it!!!

Looks like the School of the Blind are now doing tattoo apprenticeship...I agree. She cant afford a bed so to prove how wonderful she is she gets the ugliest tattoo of all time.

How sad that this girl needed to get that tattoo to prove she love's her daughter. Actions speak louder than good intentions. It doesn't even look like Leah. Very sad.

awe, poor baby. can't lay on her tummy. wait, an insider says she will be sleeping on her back, why? well, a friend says has plenty of experience doing that. so as a source says, she'll be ok.
