Bret Michaels and Kristi Gibson Are Engaged

After months of engagement rumors, Bret Michaels finally asked his on-off girlfriend of 16 years, Kristi Gibson, to marry him on Monday night's finale of his VH1 reality show, 'Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It.'

The Poison rocker got down on his knee and told Gibson, 39, "I love you, and you've been unbelievably a big part of my life, and we have two beautiful girls together. ... I know we love and respect each other, and I hope that we can find that inner love that we have forever. And I want you to be my wife."

Gibson said she never thought this day would come.

Back in July, sources told Star Magazine that Michaels proposed after the Fourth of July holiday weekend while the pair were at his ranch near Scottsdale, Arizona. But Michaels denied the reports.

Although Gibson has been spotted with serious bling on her finger, Michaels called it "a promise ring ... a friendship ring, with benefits. That's what we call it," Michaels said during a CBS Early Show interview in July. "We're a work in progress."

"Bret felt like now was the time because Kristi has been through so much with Bret and has been by his side every step of the way," a friend of the couple told Star. The friend said Michaels has changed since his brain hemorrhage earlier this year.

The couple has two daughters together: Raine Elizabeth, 10, and Jorja Bleu, 5.

Does anyone really care about this has-been celeb? NO!
He probably won't make it to the wedding or be divorced in a year. His stupid show is all he has going for him and that's not much!
Also, when is he going to stop wearing that wig? We all know he's bald.

i have noticed his kisses every woman the same way. sucking on lips. ewwah. and i have noticed that he pays more attention to the jorja, than he does to the older girl, that must be heartbreakin to her. i see her trying to jump in for attetion from her dadbut he focus on jorja. and how many kids does brett micheal really have? and kristi needs a bigger ring than that to have put up with having to kiss all those other femals and sleep with them. ya do you you kiss on person or sleep with them you slept with all the people he did. and lastly i wonder what he looks like without that head band and without make up. why does he wear all that?
