Chris Brown Graduates From Domestic Violence Class, Tweets Certificate
Chris Brown graduated... from domestic violence class, and he's proud of it. The singer tweeted out a photo of his certificate with the simple words, "I'm done with class."
The singer was sentenced to five years probation and six months of community labor last year after being found guilty of assaulting then-girlfriend, singer
Rihanna. The class is the second part of his sentence that the singer finished, and now he'll be on probation until 2014.
"I have enough self respect and decency to be proud of accomplishing this DV class. Boys run from their mistakes. Men learn from them!" he wrote on
Twitter.
He posted the picture, which reads, "This certificate is presented to Christopher Brown For Completion of the Fifty-Two Week Domestic Violence Course of Commonwealth Catholic Charities."

The certificate was dated December 20, 2010.
In November, during a regularly scheduled progress report hearing stemming from his conviction of felony assault, Brown received a
glowing commendation from the judge.
"Out of thousands of probationers, no one has done a better or more consistent job than you have, and I really want to commend you for taking responsibility and for actually working diligently to complete all the things the court has required of you," Judge Schnegg told Brown.
As part of his probation, Brown is required to do physical labor such as graffiti removal and roadside cleanup duties. Judge Schnegg is allowing the singer to complete the community service in his home state of Virginia though he is required to return to Los Angeles to check in regularly for progress reports.

How proud he must be to have beaten a woman and gotten a diploma for it.
This thing won't be worth the paper it's written on in a year or so. A leopard can't change his spots.

How sad it must be to go through life & only be able to see the negative in people. You must have a very miserable existance to think that anyone that makes a mistake doesn't deserve a second chance. What a heavy load you must carry being the only person on the planet that is perfect!
@themeeker, he did better than Charlie Sheen. What did Sheen do other than smirk in front of the cameras at the media and pay everyone involve off to get off easy for what he did. Sheen has abused women for years. I believe Charlie Sheen is going to beat or kill some women before Chris Brown will.
Cam, I agree with that.
Tracy, your goody goody act will be sung to a different tune the next time he does something...and he WILL do something.
Themeek, One must afford a person the right to rehabilitate his/her self. It must be hard on your part to extend forgiveness for he who has beaten a woman. Sweetheart get over it. She was abusive too in this relationship as she has admitted. He has earn the right to be forgiven. Let it go love!
But a zebra can change is stipes.
Give him a break. You probably listen to R Kelly and Ti's music. They do all kinds of crap and they go on to the next CD. Here's someone who is saying hey I did it, I'm sorry and I have met all the requirements the LAW has set down and you still sit there judging him and can't move on and wont allow him to move on.
Shame on you. Why is it O.K. for Charlie Scheen,Robert Blake to get off with their dirty deed and live happy ever after. Then when C. Brown with batter abuse was used as a skape goat to show the world what he did was wrong. He did it willingly you should say now that is the right thing to do. God bless you Chris and keep working mon your problem.
Chris you did good and you have set the bar for others to strive for. You are a Man who I know will lead by example. All the luck in the future.

I am a 69 year old great-grand-mother and I say anybody deserves a second chance. May God bless you Chris. Keep on singing
You can hate on Chris Brown for what he did, but not for following through with the orders of the court and trying to be a better man. Everyone deserves a second chance.

@ Stephanie I agree! Go Chris!!!
He'll be back in trouble again, just like the rest of the Hollywood singers/actors. He must have hit her hard to get 5 years probation.

Plz he was made an example of
Just like Chris said, it's a double standard
Charlie Sheen
Lidsay Lohan
(I can continue but it's not worth it) People like you can do not wrong and will not give people a second chance it your life depended on it.
To amiwright:
Like I said, " Just like all the other Entertainers/Actors." You're correct, I don't have a criminal record. I'll give him a second chance. He's from the Richmond, Va area and so I am. Rumor has it he belongs to the same gym that I do.
I'm on the side of the believers - I think he has turned his life around. Also he's learned that beating on women will cost him his career and I'd hate that too because I really like his voice.

Well he is doing what he is ordered to do now only time will tell...but you don't get over beating on women that easy...it is a long process!!!!

I agree, everyone deserves a second chance.
The man has been paying for some time now, hes paid his dues.
I wish Chris all the best of luck.

His parents should be so proud. He received a "Diploma" but,it doesn't mean he actually learned anything. It only means he attended the course and gave the answers the instructor needed to hear at the end.
