It's a widely understood fact that the holiday season throws many people off their game at work as they await a much-needed break from the office. Visions of sugar plums seem to have clouded the thought process of one employee at 'Fox & Friends,' who inadvertently published what may be the most offensive headline of all time.
During the show's interview with Elie Wiesel, who famously detailed his experiences at Auschwitz and Buchenwald in 'Night,' a caption appeared under the author's name that seemingly conflated the details of his life.
For those who don't know, Mr. Wiesel is both a Holocaust survivor and a Nobel Prize Winner, two descriptors that were combined into the unfortunate title of "Holocaust winner."

And who could be more ignorant than you, James?

All of those here who are defending this egregious error by Fox are simply doing what you always do: Deny the truth and defend your party. Everyone knows that Fox News is today's equivalent of the Nazi Ministry of Propaganda. George Goebbels would be so proud of you all but I, for one, am ashamed to call you my countrymen.

the nazi propagandist's name was JOSEPH goebbels. Your blatant ignorance and lack of google/wikipedia search makes me ashamed to call you my fellow countryman.
How in the hell is this newsworthy? A friggin' cut and paste error, ends up on the air, peaks your interest? Enough to post an article even? Journalism is truly dead! There is so much going wrong in the world, yet you feel the need to point out a tv news caption error. Wow AOL you suck!
Hey, "Hugh", your name sure fits you!!
yeah..didnt ya know that he only survived that whole 'holocaust' thingy because he knew there was was all this loot on the other end?

Life is just a game. There are winners and losers. Even in the Holocaust.

How's he "ignorant?" You may not like the sentiment, but it's true: Wiesel has profited a lot from that subject material.

What is obvious by this article is that only Fox and Friends make mistakes. Not AOL, sure I’ve got a bridge I’ll sell you too!!!

I am sure that it was an honest mistake, and damn it, I would have considered myself a winner if I had been lucky enough to survive that horror in history!! So LAY OFF!!!!!!!
Reply
Of course it was an honest mistake but they need to try and stir something up in the news media.
Lisa,
Bite me.
I can't say what I really want to you, "Deal", without it getting censored. But, crawl back into the hole from which you emerged
OMG! that's as bad as Mel's oven dodger joke, only this is from another jew!

Two words: Fox sux.
Nobody ever said that Fox hires the sharpest pencils in the drawer. Remember, fair and balanced or was it unfair and unbalanced? Of course, Fox would say that Elie Wiesel was in cahoots with Bernie Madoff and their foundation losses were really ungainly profits from selling human skins and gold from the teeth of dead people. If you can think of the worst, Fox has probably been there, done that.

People who criticize Fox News are pretty ignorant and don't know how to do their own research. Everything they say can be proven in writing and backed up with facts that even the most illiterate of you critics can verify. You aught to shut your mouths and open your eyeballs and a book once in awhile. Maybe you would learn something instead of just believeing the rhetoric someone else has told you to believe. THINK FOR YOURSELVES FOR A CHANGE!! It really doesn't hurt.

Very funny, especially after the way the Fox and Friends idiot threesome laughed about how CBS posted the wrong cover of George Bush's book.

Fair and balanced? That's precious.
