Jon Gosselin Gets a Job, and It's Not a Reality TV Show

After months staying out of the limelight, Jon Gosselin has finally landed a real job and gotten his life back together.

"Jon is very close with Jill Zarin from 'Real Housewives of New York,' " an insider tells me. "It was Jill who told Jon to stay out of the spotlight and get himself a real job. Fame is fun but doesn't pay the bills."

Now Jon is working for a real estate developer, has a nice new girlfriend, and is seeing his children three to four times a week.

"Jon is in a great place," a friend of the father of eight tells me. "He is happy and knows what a fool he made of himself after his split from Kate. He has been getting a lot of TV offers, including interest from 'Dancing With the Stars,' and has turned them all down. If he never sees a TV camera again in his life it will be too soon."

Meanwhile, don't expect his ex, Kate Gosselin, to disappear anytime soon. Her shows are doing just fine for TLC, ensuring that Kate won't be out of the network's line-up anytime soon. Although the ratings are way down from the days of her marriage breakdown, Kate's show is constantly in the top 10 for TLC.

"Even if her show did get canceled, Kate would find a way to still be famous," a friend of the mom tells me. "She addicted to it."

I can't believe after everything, Jon has become the normal parent!

Yes, she spends the money alright...And that's on all their children that he doesn't support you a-hole.,,Unlike he when he stole over 300 grand from the household account to buy himself an apratment in NYC, a brand new car and all those vacations (French Rivera, Hamptons, Las Vegas and Hollywood) with that drug dealing girlfriend of his.

Good for Jon. At least he has the sense to keep his daily doings private, not like his former wife who I wish too would get a real job and stop prostituting her children to make a living.

Considering that Kate a single working Mom is the one that is bringing home the bacon (paycheck) for the family of eight kids, hopefully her show Kate+8 will not be canceled.

Now if Jon and his current new girlfriend would just stop inventing and selling stories to the tabloids, maybe
Kate and the kids could have a happy life.

Please i can not stand Kate. She is not like most single mothers. They can barely make ends meet. Kate makes millions and it is still not enough.She would not be on tv if it was not for her eight kids. She thinks she is so famous.When all she is famous for is having eight kids.

You are kidding, right? The ex Mrs. Gosselin is not a "single mom bringing home the bacon/paycheck"--it is more like the KIDS are bringing home the bacon so MOMMY can continue her UNDESERVED lifestyle being the star she envisions in her mind. God help these poor kids, who never had the ability to sign an informed consent! Their mother and TLC have exploited them shamelessly for far too long! Someday soon, I hope and pray, these kids will be able to recover some element of normalcy! Meanwhile, I suspect we will one day see the kids sue these people (i.e., Mommy Dearest, TLC) for the damage they KNEW--OR SHOULD HAVE KNOWN--would happen as a result of this horrible child exploitation!

those kids will never have a nickle as long as kate is public.. 7K for a haircut? 7K would have bought the kids clothes, toys, food... it's all about the buck for kate.

Ok, but why does she need to be famous, her own friends say she's addicted. And what about the lies that her kids weren't getting the right education at the school when they were truly expelled? Obviously she is not doing to good of a job as a mother. Especially when she has time for dancing with the stars and such.

A stable parent does not steal 300 grand from the household account so he can buy himself a NYC apartment, a brand new car, designer clothes, fancy hair salons treatments, meals at expensive restaurants and vacations (French Rivera, Hamptons, Las Vegas and Hollywood) for himself and his drug dealing girlfriend while his chidlren are depending on that money to survive.

.....I had never watched her show being beyond the age of mothers and kids but I watched her on Palin being interested in Alaska and thought she was one whiner. Sure the weather was bad but you are suppose to dress for cold, rain etc. Should have waited for a dry day but too she looked like one "joyless" individual to me.

I always liked Jon, and felt he was the only man that could put up with Kate for as long as he had.
I can't believe there are enough foolish viewers to keep her show on the air. The show was originally supposed to be about the kids, but she made it all about her. She spends large amounts of money on herself, yet claims it's all about the kids. She's a selfish, egotistical witch.
