Jon Gosselin Gets a Job, and It's Not a Reality TV Show

After months staying out of the limelight, Jon Gosselin has finally landed a real job and gotten his life back together.

"Jon is very close with Jill Zarin from 'Real Housewives of New York,' " an insider tells me. "It was Jill who told Jon to stay out of the spotlight and get himself a real job. Fame is fun but doesn't pay the bills."

Now Jon is working for a real estate developer, has a nice new girlfriend, and is seeing his children three to four times a week.

"Jon is in a great place," a friend of the father of eight tells me. "He is happy and knows what a fool he made of himself after his split from Kate. He has been getting a lot of TV offers, including interest from 'Dancing With the Stars,' and has turned them all down. If he never sees a TV camera again in his life it will be too soon."

Meanwhile, don't expect his ex, Kate Gosselin, to disappear anytime soon. Her shows are doing just fine for TLC, ensuring that Kate won't be out of the network's line-up anytime soon. Although the ratings are way down from the days of her marriage breakdown, Kate's show is constantly in the top 10 for TLC.

"Even if her show did get canceled, Kate would find a way to still be famous," a friend of the mom tells me. "She addicted to it."

I can't believe after everything, Jon has become the normal parent!

Kate is trying to do what she can do to take care of her eight children which is more than Jon is doing. After he tried to take all their savings and leave his ex. and eight little children penniless, he finally showed what kind of creep he really was. Luckily he was made to put the money back. Don't waste any tears on him.

GOOD FOR HIM! but that wench? forget her! she is addicted to the TV because she doesn't want to get a real job and that includes being a REAL mother! she prefers the fake she is! Good for Jon! he may have made a fool of himself for a while,but thats what happens when you put someone in a Kate cage and let her poke at them non stop.He showed her he could change,she NEVER will,she'll just get worse,and continue to dress like a cheap hooker,there is a way to dress up and get respect,she just doesn't know how,LOL

I've watched the show maybe 3x's. I did'ent like the show, because Kate was so damn mean to her husband, and nothing he did was right as far as she was concerned. My daughter always liked the show and said that Kate had to be that way to keep order with such a large family. But as i informed my 22yr old UNmarried daughter, if you want a divorce and an unfaithful spouse, just treat your husband the way that witch does!!! Clearly i was not shocked when the media reported he was screwing around. In Jon's case he did NOT seem to be threatened by the time she had to spend with the kids, but by the fact that she seemed to forget that he was her husband, NOT another one of her kids.

Glad to hear that Jon has a job and it's not in the limelight! Now, if Kate could just learn from him! Kate is a prostitute for fame, sad but true, and the kids suffer as a result.

Actually TLC has placed Kate + 8 on hold and there are no plans to film the show Twist of Kate. Sarah Palin is the new star of TLC. Who doesn't love seeing a mom with a shotgun?

kate is an idiot-tlc please pull her off the air-the fake boobs,the tummy tuck stupid hair-gimme a break-she's so selfish and shallow-what a shame they had to end a marriage over a tv show because of the fame-so sorry for both of them and the exploitation of those kids-it's over kate-nobody cares about you -give it up!

Although I don't like Jon very much, I still think Kate is a living shrew who (it appears) does not like her kids...I think she would beat the "(*&^ out of them if it weren't for the cameras. Her moments are all scripted; she has her lines to speak for the cameras and those kids had better do what she directs or else! It is a shame they all look Asian only because it gives her reminders of Jon and she reacts to that. If they were blonde, blue eyed and caucasian, they might fare better with the witch bent on revenge. As it is now, they are a mob of unruly brats with shallow sally as a mom. Sad.
