Brandy: My 8-Year-Old Daughter Wants a Blackberry for Christmas

Christmas with the Norwoods will be different this year -- now that Brandy's eight-year-old daughter doesn't believe in Santa Claus.

"I got her list, and it is ridiculous. When she believed in Santa, she had a smaller list, but now that she knows I'm Santa Claus, she went crazy. Now, she wants a Blackbery and an iPhone 4. It's like, 'Little girl, you are 8, and you're asking for a Blackberry?'" she tells PopEater.

Although her daughter won't be connecting to a 3G network this holiday, Brandy will be showering Sy'rai with plenty of gifts.

"It was so cute. She also asked for a hug and a kiss," the single mother gushed. "Then clothes and shoes. She'll get that and a few Barbies and American Girl dolls. But no way is she getting a Blackberry."

Brandy plans to spend Christmas at home with her family and hopes to visit Mississippi, where she was born.

"I love Mississippi. There is something about the energy there that feels like home, so I want to go back with my family, hang out, eat and go fishing," she said.

But there is one tradition she's most looking forward to: a home-cooked meal.

"My mom never cooks, but for Christmas and Thanksgiving she does. We always look forward to her cooking," the singer reveals. "For Christmas, there is a bunch of food and Christmas music. We'll open gifts and just hang out at the house all day. It's nothing spectacular, but it is filled with a lot of love."

Brandy is a very beautiful, graceful, and humble young woman. It is good to see young women with clothes on. I would suggest that she waits on God to provide her the right husband. She appears to be a woman of value.

Good call Brandy on turning down the Blackberry for your daughter and focusing on clothes,shoes and dolls instead. That's too expensive for an 8-year old. She doesn't need it! And she should also give her the Justin Bieber and Fantasia and ICON- Janet Jackson Number Ones albums for music fun and enjoyment!

Why on earth would you put on here that she knows Brandy is Santa? Believe it or not there are still plenty of children who DO still believe and they use the internet! Could they not hold on to that belief for just a little longer?? Kids grow up WAY too fast anyway, this is just a small thing that keeps them young. Thanks alot!

#1) Brandy's daughter is always on the current show with her family and Brandy's former show. She was on dancing with the stars, front & Center as well as Ray J's love crap. Just because she's not vying for camera time doesn't mean she is being concealed.

#2) My kids new at 6 and 7 there was no Santa. They know the real reason behind the season so I don't have to worry about making sure they had lots of things they don't need under the tree. My kids actually buy toys to hand out at shelters.
