Kelsey Grammer Tries to Block Camille's Access to Accounts

The divorce between Kelsey and Camille Grammer may have started as a private matter, but the split is growing more acrimonious by the day.

The 55-year-old actor, who recently proposed to 29-year-old Kayte Walsh despite still being legally married to Camille, is now trying to block his estranged wife's access to his business and retirement accounts.

RadarOnline.com reports that Kelsey filed documents in Los Angeles Superior Court that will block Camille from accessing Kelsey's assets from the Screen Actors Guild, the Directors Guild of America, Equity League, AFTR Health & Retirement Funds, Producers Pension Plan, and Gramnet Inc, the couple's production company.

Camille, who appears on 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' recently disclosed that, despite the difficult nature of their split, she hopes to remain civil with her ex.

"I hope when the dust settles we can remain friends. I also would like to continue to work with my husband. I think he is a very talented man," she told the New York Post.

The couple, who married in 1997, have two children together. Kelsey Grammer's marriage to Walsh with be his fourth.

This just gets better and better, doesn't it? Thank you, Kelsey and Camille, for making our holidays a little brighter with your stupid messy shennanigans. Because usually at this time of year, your average celebrity is off holed up in some exotic resort (or rehab), out of the public eye, doing god knows what scandalous stupid things we won't hear about. It's good of the Grammers to think of their public and just put out their squabbling in the open.

In California half of everything belongs to the lesser earner be it a male or female, Unless they had a prenup. So, half of all those accounts DO belong to Camille, like it or not! They were married for quite a long time (for Hollywood) and I think she deserves to have what's fair.

Camille is a golddigging loser, the way she brags on the show constantly about how much money they have is just unbelievable, the woman has probably spent him dry, 15,000 for a small rug and 5 houses, it's bullcrap!

Kelsey should be strung up by his *&^%! These games with money in divorce situations are nuts. He's got children with Camille but because he's got the hots for someone else he's going to be a miserable SOB. He was talented but clearly is suffering from the crazies.

I like Kelsey, always have. But his wife is one gold digging, money grabbing, big mouthed, loser of a woman. I would love to see her get a job, that requires physical labor. Shes one of those woman, who thinks because shes a woman, that everyone owes her a living. Its as if she doesnt know, that when one is getting a divorce, that he still has to pay for her selfish ways.
I cxan only hope a judge can see right through this woman, she deserves nothing from Kelsey, or anyone else.

He SHOULD be blocking her azz from his accounts!!! He's a fool if he doesn't!! She's making her own money, now. All he owes her is child support. PERIOD.

Lisa, where did you get your law degree and where doyou practise law? Are you a family law specialist? I hope not or you would be well aware that the judge will follow the law on this and give her what the courts and the state law feel is due her and not what some airhead poster thinks.

he should be getting some of her money since she is bring in the bucks. He should only pay child support and let her have the house. If she needs 4 nannies let her pay for it herself. If she needs a huge mansion then the expenses are hers to pay.

I remember years ago when Camille helped save Kelsey's life ( he had admitted it on earlier interviews). To bad he has forgotten. Someone who helps save your life should forever be held near and dear to the heart. You can walk away and should walk away if need be, but respect and loyalty should never be brushed aside. Shame on you Kelsey WATCH OUT because it's only a matter of time before it bites you!

I'm really confused- what exactly did Camille do that "saved" Kelsey's life? It's one thing to be there for someone through a tough time, but to claim she saved his life seems a bit dramatic & in need of attention. Which I guess fits with her personality

He can try to block her from his retirement accounts but there is something called QDRO (Qualified Domestic Relations Order) under the IRC. If any of his retirement plans are "qualified" plans under ERISA he could be pissing in the wind as the IRS code overrides his request, he may have to pay her from another account valued in these retirement plans.

I have seen MANY people try to keep their ex-spouse from their retirement money but the IRS says if you were married to them you are entitled to a portion of their account balanced usually on the date the marriage was considered "over".

A lot of people keeps calling her a gold digger, but what about his little mistress. Whether you like Camille or not she is his partner is more than one of his business and he cannot block her from this business and she would be a fool to sell it to him.

These two were married more than 10 years and have children together so these two issues gives her more power than if he left her sooner or no children were involved.

No way Kelsey Grammar is a Republican. He acts just like a Democrat. Even if he claims he's a Republican, well, he isn't accepted as one and meet the 100% litmus test for a Democrat.
