@ Marguerite. Do you get nosebleeds sitting way up on that high horse of yours? Just because two people are married does not mean that they can't raise a child together. People are forgoing marriage out of fear. Divorce rates what they are, sometimes its better to "live in sin" that take the plunge. You sound like a "happily married" (ahem) person. Marguerite, who said that people who use birth control have morals? Also who is to say that kids with two parents are stable??? What about the kids that wished their parents would have divorced because they hated the constant fighting??? These days if kids have one normal, stable parent they are fortunate. Please there are more than two sides to this story.

I would like to see the facts and stats too! Two parents does not always make a stable child. I was raised in a two parent home and used to go to bed at night and pray they would get a divorce. I on the other hand was a single parent, my son grew up to be great young man and went to med school and is a practising doctor. He is married and has a young daughter and all are doing well.
I don't see any shame in having a child when you are single as long as you can afford it and support both financially and emotionally. It is better to have one great parent vs two bad parents. This is the 21st century, get with it..

Face reality, having a baby in a marriage is NOT the norm now. Marriage is a piece of paper costing way too much money. You should stick with someone because you both want to, through the good and the bad times, NOT because you are wearing a ring and you HAVE to stay together. Check the stats, unmarried couples are happier than married couple =). Everyone needs to read the book "The Predatory Female". I am a woman, and I will admit right now that this book is very true about the female gender. Women manipulate men, especially into marriage. Ladies, wouldn't you rather your man be with you because he loves you and just WANTS to be with you and not be with you just because you gave him an ultimatum to marry you or your're leaving? HA Pretty selfish huh?
