Alicia Keys Pens Song for New Baby

Alicia Keys is still giddy from the joys of motherhood, and what better way to express her love for her new bundle of joy than in song. The multiple Grammy winner has collaborated with rapper Eve for the new song 'Speechless,' which is produced by her husband Swizz Beatz.

Keys took to her Twitter page yesterday to introduce the track. "Speechless is a little freestyle treat 4 the holidays," she wrote. "It's not a new album, not a single it's something special 4 U! My gift to you ... a little song about my lil guy ;-) love to you....let's make 2011 incredible!!!"

Keys gave birth in October, just a few months after tying the knot with Beatz in an intimate summer ceremony. Listen to the song after the jump.

Despite the title, the singer had no problem putting her feelings into words. After a small introduction, describing her love for her son, Egypt Daoud Dean, Keys bundled her emotions in a soft melody. "When I wake up in the morning babe / Can't believe my eyes / See this little part of destiny 'cause you're now in my life," she sings. "There ain't no better prize that can compare to you / Ain't no words to describe the way that I'm feeling when I look at you / I'm just speechless baby, don't know what to say / I'm just speechless."

I concur! Congratsulations! MJ's song dedicated to his children was also titled Speechless. I liked Babyface's song from his album called The Day (the song name escapes me right now) and Lauryn Hill's songs called Zion that were also dedicated to their children as well. Very Lovely songs.

While I think it's wonderful that someone could take pen to paper and write a song for their child.....THIS SONG SUCKS MAJOR LEMONS!!! It sounds more like a love song to her man than to her son. I congratulate her on the birth nevertheless!

a song writter writting a song for their children is nothing new not just when their a baby but even as an adult for example Stevie wonder Wrote Isn't She Lovely for one of his daughters or Paul McCartney wrote Stella May day when his daughter Stella had her debut fashion show for Chloe in March 1997

Song was ok but sounds the same as any other song she makes. I really wish she would have told the truth about her relationship with Swizz Beatz then people wouldnt be so quick to say something negative about her. I think she really lost a lot of cool points with people when she kept lying about the relationship then pop up pregnant. People date married people all the time its nothing new and she's not expected to be a saint. Just live your life but live it without all the lies..
