Rupert Everett -- the actor best known for romantic comedies like 'My Best Friend's Wedding' and 'The Next Best Thing' -- has a problem with Jennifer Aniston's continued success."If you look and analyze the careers of many, many stars, you'll find that they're mostly sustained by the business," he said on BBC Radio, Usmagazine.com reports. "You'll find there's lots of women and lots of men in the business that the powers that be decide are right for their business, and they'll stand with them for quite a long time."
"OK, something will go wrong, like Jennifer Aniston will have one too many total flops, but she's still a member of that club. And she will still manage to ... like a star forming in the universe, things will swirl around her and it will suddenly solidify into another vital tasteless rom-com, a little glitter next to the Crab Nebula," he added.

Really...what the hell has Rupert Everett done lately? I agree that Jennifer Aniston is way over analyzed and not that deep of an actress. But seriously, why insult Colin Firth for showing his fun side. I agree that Colin playing a homosexual man was a bit of a stretch and Rupert would play the role far better seeing as he is totally gay. But Colin is always willing to show is range for acting and let's face it, he's a very sexy man! Sorry Rupert, you have not place to judge...seems to be that you're just jealous that you didn't get the roll.

Actually, I don't know that he was insulting Colin Firth. Momma Mia was not his "best" role and didn't really further his career, however, it did allow him to have some fun and make a little money. And if you follow Colin's career, you know he has no trouble having a little fun now and then (see St. Trinian's where he played opposite his dear friend Rupert Everett). And frankly, Momma Mia wasn't his first "gay" role and Colin continues to be quite convincing in those roles. Mostly due to the fact that Colin Firth is a very talented actor!
Up yours Rupert.
Rupert Everett, NEVER HEARD OF HIM.
Okay...I'm not a huge Jen Aniston fan but one thing says a lot about this story to me....Who the hell is Rupert Everett ?? At least I've heard of Jen lol.oh great article ,My boyfriend and i both think so ...He is almost 11year older than me .i met him via uniform'edmeet.c 'oma nice place for s'ee'king Army, Navy, Mari'nes, Air Force, Police Force and their admires.just love it
I agree! It's extremely strange to me that people find the need to diss this girl when she hasn't said anything negative about anyone. Maybe her movies aren't for everyone but they have a market, which is clearly what's kept her relevant (certainly relevant enough that other actors can't stop talking about her). Are her movies Oscar worthy? NO! But these days whose are? Yogi the Bear perhaps?
I love this , So does My boyfriend .he is almost 11year older than me .i met him via ageg apsingles.c 'om a nice place for seeking age le ss love.which gives you a chance to make your life better and open opportunities for you to meet the attractive young girls and treat you like a king. Maybe you wanna check it out or tell your friends.. Just love it
who the Hell cares about Aniston the bimbo needs to grow up an go on with her life and quit having these magazines crying over poor i cant get a guy to save my life jennifer boo hoo!!!!
I totally agree. Who is Rupert Everett anyway? Has he had any claims to superb acting at all?
I agree to a certain extent about Jennifer Aniston's career.I don't understand her success. She's on ok actor who has more flops, both critical and financial, yet continues making movies and getting paid alot of money. And for what? The only decent movie she's made is The Break Up.And that was years ago.

I agree with you kim. Who is reading her scripts? She has tons of Friends money. Why not wait for the right project. Marley & Me was okay too. Just saw the Bounty Hunter on tv last week, ugh. I do enjoy looking at the woman, but I'm not gonna go out of my way or pay to see her films.
Kim, I think you are right on traget. Jennifer Aniston simply lacks the talent to sustain her career into middle age, beyond the point where her so-called, "perky" looks can get her twenty-something parts. A perfect example of my theory is Meg Ryan. She is now 49, and has had cosmetic surgery to keep her looking 28, but it hasn't worked. She looks grotesque, and her career is finished. Who would hire her to play anyone's mother? Sally Field was a stretch in, "Forrest Gump".
Totally agree, she's just not talented at all. She show up to the movie set to do the same blah character in every movie.
With all of her movies flopping she must be screwing the person giving her these movies. Probably somebody married and they don't care if her movies bomb.
Here's the thing. She made a wise career choice, and can probably buy and sell this Rupert person right now. Whether you like her acting or not, whether you think she's pretty or not, her success is not dependent upon your opinion, but on hers.
I loved her in Friends With Money. It seemed a perfect part for her.
I guess it is safe to say that the " powers that be" decided long ago that Mr Everett was not " right for business" or was it maybe because he's just not that good at his job......?I bet he wouldn't have much to say if he were a supposed " club member". I wonder, is he upset because he's genuinely concerned or because he's not a " member"?

Jen has had more success on the TV side than
in the movies.... that's fine with me.
i like her, think she has an almost normal
media star life, isn't screwing up her life
with drugs and that trash living stuff so many
get involved with in the HollyWood-Hood.
does Rupert have any skin in this issue?
