Snooki Takes Her New Year's Eve Stunt to Jersey

New York City may have to miss out on the delightful sight of Snooki falling from the sky in a human-sized hamster ball, but the Garden State can gear up for a good time with the diminutive diva.

On Wednesday, Times Square Alliance and Countdown Entertainment, who organize the New Year's festivities and ball drop in New York, released a statement saying that MTV had dropped the ball on the petite party girl's stunt.

"It was never intended or requested for Snooki to be in the actual New Year's Eve Ball in Times Square The request to have her in a separate ball on a set-back roof came too late and was too impractical to fit in to our outdoor events."

Despite the setback, the New York Times reports that Snooki will be welcomed with open arms to her old stomping grounds of Seaside Heights, New Jersey, where the first season of 'Jersey Shore' was filmed.

While Seaside Heights borough clerk Diane Stabley says the event, "kind of got sprung on us," MTV has obtained the proper permits to perform the stunt in the beach town.

Since MTV's crew must leave Seaside by Friday, technical planning for the stunt is already under way and taping will begin well before the clock strikes midnight on the 31st.

So will Seaside get another taste of Snooki's hard partying ways? Don't count on it.

"She's going to come out and do whatever she's supposed to do," says Stabley, "and that's it."

It appears they need to filter the responses, sell (or give) them to someone else to fit the mold they want. Actually I would like to see Snookie show up on American idol and kick the snott out of Tyler and Lopez as all 3 are useless.
