Source: 'Bachelor' Brad Vowed to Propose This Time

The most hated man in 'Bachelor' history, Brad Womack,
returned to ABC last night looking for a second chance to find love. Does he find it? He better! Sources tell me that part of his deal with producers to return to the hit dating show was a guarantee that this time he will propose -- something he walked away from last time.
"Everyone knows reality TV isn't very real, however, promising that you will find a wife before you even meet the contestants is a new low," a TV executive tells me. "It makes total sense to bring Brad back for a second chance and it will totally result in huge ratings. I just hope the woman are in on this deal as well."
Brad insisted throughout the first episode and the press interviews leading up to last night's debut that he was "a changed man."
After three years of therapy and self-reflection, he discovered he was a commitment-phobe that tended to push people away before they could hurt him. However, friends of the bachelor tell me Brad's problem isn't a fear of intimacy but rather his love of fame.
"Brad was dying to get back on TV," a friend of the Texas native tells me. "He hasn't done anything since he was the 'Bachelor' and missed the cameras and the attention every single day. Now, he can pretend for America that he is falling in love all over again and in the process make a ton of cash."
This doesn't sound like it can end well to me.

What kind of a friend would say Brad came back "for the love of fame?" With a friend like that who needs enemies? Sounds like someone's nose is out of joint.
If Brad finds love.....great! I believe he did the right thing last time. He was being honest. If "its" not there its not there. In the long run he did both girls a favor. Look how many splits have taken place over the years......some before the show even aired. He has been raked over the coals enough, so give him a chance. (The lengths some of these females go to never ceases to amaze me. It's obvious who are attention-seekers and are out for her own gain.)
Enjoy the show for what it is or don't watch; it's only a TV show...not reality. Good luck, Brad.

Well said! Give the guy a break already. He did do the right thing the first time, and shocked us all. Let's give him credit for being true to himself and not proposing for the sake of TV!
Joy, i agree with you totally. He was very honest and true to himself with his decision. I don't understand why these bimbos resent him.
He vowed to propose this time so he either lied the last time or he's lying now. Either way, I won't watch this brain garbage and you all lose IQ points if you do tune in.
I couldn't have said it better!
UMMM... look at that picture...this guy is gayer than an Easter Parade...Is everyone elses gay-dar broken?? The only thing he wants from any of the "contestants" is to borrow some of their panties!!!

I agree. He does look gay, doesn't he?! Not sure I'm buying his story about being a "changed man." But I do wish him and all the contestants well. And thanks for the entertainment.

I give up. Give this guy a break. Why does everyone think everyone else is gay? He did the right thing to back away 3 years ago. Someone, either woman would have been hurt, crushed, crying their hearts out had he picked one or the other. So let's get back to reality and let everyone have some fun.
Gotta laugh, some of the women last night only met him for an hour or what and they were crying when they went home.
And maybe...He will propose to the Vampire and have vampire babies and ABC will have a new reality show. Brad meets the Munsters.

hahaha good one
Why I watch this ridiculous show is beyond me. It's so scripted. After seeing the lineup of bimbos, it would put me in therapy the rest of my life if I had to spend 2 months around them. This show makes a good case for blow up dolls.

I didn't even know this show was still on until I came across the article. Goes to show you how much I pay attention.
I've never watched this show before but saw a teaser where the 1st girl slapped him. That got me to watch last night. Who knows if he's gay (or cares)?
I already picked the 1 for me. The blond southern girl (whos ex died in a plane crash) with the little girl. If he doesn't pick her he's gay to me.........

What an idiotic statement......decide ahead of time instead of finding the right person and let things play out and, what will be will be....iodiot!

I didn't like Brad the first time around and I don't like him this time. I think the show was stupid for putting him on again. I doubt I will watch much of it and I have been a fan since day one.

I'm sorry but I dont believe any of Brads real friends said that!!!!!!!!

I USED TO BE a Bachelor Fan but after this guy and the Mesnick meltdown it was over for me. This guy will never find true love cause he already has - with his Momma. Biggest momma's boy I have ever seen. Plus he is not even hot.

The women he had to pick from were pretty but a lot of them were needy and had other baggage. I do not blame him for not choosing any in the bunch, especially if they were not what he was looking for. He's got money - the main thing women want - so he can afford to be picky. Maybe this time there will be someone he thinks worthy of marriage....or maybe not. At least there will be a couple worthy of a good time if nothing else.

This speaks volumes for the producers to put this man back on the show. What's up with this? Are there no eligible bachelors in America? This man is so scripted? I believe he's rehearsing for his acting career. It's pathetic that there are so many beautiful intelligent women in America and obviously a shortage of available men!!
