Things Kirk Cameron will be remembered as: Mike Seaver, philanthropist, evangelist.Things Kirk Cameron will not be remembered as: a theology scholar, a foreseer of the apocalypse, a man who takes kindly to subtle mockery from Anderson Cooper.
Following the mysterious death of close to 2,000 red-winged blackbirds in Beebe, Ark., earlier this week, Anderson Cooper reached out to the former 'Growing Pains' star in an attempt to have him address reports that the event is a sign of the impending apocalypse.
Cameron, who stars in the popular 'Left Behind' films, which take place following the Rapture, was not amused by Cooper's implication that his religious beliefs were the same as end-of-days zealotry. The actor told the Silver Fox, "You know, I'm not the religious-conspiracy theorist go-to guy, particularly. But I think it's really kind of silly to try to equate birds falling from the sky with some kind of an end-times theory."

Kirk Cameron "pushes" his beliefs every chance he gets? You mean while on the job, an evangelical, witness program intended to reach out to people who are seeking that message? Other than that we don't see K.C. pushing his anything to anyone. Unlike most of Hollywood, whom when given 3 minutes of airtime to promote a movie or record I have to hear about their politics or rantings against someone they disagree with. I find Kirk Cameron to be humble and gracious and I look foreward to seeing more of his work.
What you're seeing in Kirk is his loving obedience to the Lord.
2 Timothy 4:2 NIV
Preach the word; be instant in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
It is a sobering thought that;
1 Corinthians 1:18
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
Kirk knows that God loves YOU, so he is serving the Lord by preaching the gospel to you, in order that God might lead you to Himself.
Ephesians 2:8
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--
No pickles. What it is is his blind obedience to the invisible man in the sky who DOES NOT EXIST.
@ TheMeeker, better pray that you're right.
And I guess your not pushing your belief on others with your post? Hmmmmm!
WOW themeeker, how would you know that lol, everyone has some god they worship, whether you know it or not. I would guess your bible would be a science book. I was wondering though, if you claim there is no God wouldn't that mean you were omniscient and therefore laying claim to some kinda godhood?
Kirk
Why even appear on this looser news channel?
Didn't Fox News beat then in the ratings 10 to 1
PATHETIC!

Jenny, I do not care for Anderson Cooper myself but thats just me.
Kirk appearing on Anderson's show has shown the world what a true Christian talks & looks like. He is humble & Christ like which is exactly what the Bible tell us as Christians we should do.
I notice Cooper never has say a Rabbi on and ridules his beleifs on Judaism. What is up with that?

He is humble in his approach - it isn't about him, it's about reaching the lost. He does it very well.

The Nucular power plant released a horrbile chemical in the air.In a few weeks a few cows chicken and other live stock will soon begin to die because of the power plant. The people of that region must be told the truth.

Not sure about the nuclear plant releasing chemicals, but would not be surprised if the government didn't release something. Why else would the hazmat crew clean up in gas masks? Did they know something they did not want to share with the rest of the towns residents???
Kirk Cameron............... Evolution in Reverse.

I've met Kirk Cameron and worked with him. He's the real deal. His faith in God is genuine. It would have to be for him to have the patience to deal with all the intolerance and hostility towards his religious beliefs. Good for you Kirk!

A paid publicity post by a hired flack. How 'bout that, Jane
Oh frankerin, I wish I worked for Kirk Cameron. That way I'd have a job. And thanks for rubbing it in, jerk.
I think Kirk Cameron is a breath of fresh air. He has strong Christian beliefs, and devotes his time now to Christian work, although seeing how handsome he still is, I daresay he could have gone the Jason Bateman route and tried to stay in "popular" movies and TV shows. He does not appear to be vain or foolish, which is such a relief after seeing such "celebrities" as Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.
I wish him all the best.

There is a logical reason for these birds falling from the sky. The problem is how many fell. First estimates were 1000,then 3000,this report says 2000. Anyway something may have sent them flying too high into oxygen thin/cold air. Then again,I read that the birds showed signs of physical distress or injury. Birds are very fragile, having hollow bones and flying in flocks.Where one goes they all go,all suffered the same fate. For some reason I believe they flew too high and were starved for oxygen if it makes sense or not.

Kirk is a drooling, hallucinating, loony.

People who thrive on mocking others, insulting a persons beliefs, think it's their right to be rude, insenitive and to incite more anger and hate against another human -- simply for their belief, is right up there with repression, intolerance and judge those who think different -- they need to either remember a rule of "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all." If that's too lame for you, remember how Hitler, Stalin, Saddam got started. They too, thought they were better, smarter and had the right ideas of what was acceptable and what was not -- the attitude always defines the character.
