Things Kirk Cameron will be remembered as: Mike Seaver, philanthropist, evangelist.Things Kirk Cameron will not be remembered as: a theology scholar, a foreseer of the apocalypse, a man who takes kindly to subtle mockery from Anderson Cooper.
Following the mysterious death of close to 2,000 red-winged blackbirds in Beebe, Ark., earlier this week, Anderson Cooper reached out to the former 'Growing Pains' star in an attempt to have him address reports that the event is a sign of the impending apocalypse.
Cameron, who stars in the popular 'Left Behind' films, which take place following the Rapture, was not amused by Cooper's implication that his religious beliefs were the same as end-of-days zealotry. The actor told the Silver Fox, "You know, I'm not the religious-conspiracy theorist go-to guy, particularly. But I think it's really kind of silly to try to equate birds falling from the sky with some kind of an end-times theory."

Kirk is just another washed up child star. He is not a Bible Scholar, even though he thinks he is. Goodbye Kirk, you were cute as a teenager, but no longer!

He never claimed to be a biblical scholar. He is a Christian, who yes reads the Bible. He told AC that he was the wrong person to ask about this.
If he's on CNN, it means he's in the witness protection program, as no one will see him there. AC 360 is the host's name, and the average number of viewers.

Listening to 5 second "blurbs" on the news and celebrities inane remarks about something we all should be extrememly concerned about is almost more frightening than what is happening. Hello? Anyone out there?

i'm an atheist and i think this makes anderson look like a fool. kirk cameron handled himself very well. it made me forget for a minute what a whacko kirk is.
anderson lost his credibility at this moment. the birds in AK have nothing to do with gOD or the lack of a gOD.

Actually, Judaism -- the religion you have poached -- has the right attitude toward conversion and proselytizing: we refuse converts repeatedly, until they show their earnestness and dedication in the choice to convert.

Anderson Cooper is an idiot I guess that is why this moron is on CNN another so called news station that nobody with a real brain ever watches. A lateral move for him would be to go to MSNBC and join that other idiot Chris Matthews who is actually more annoying than Cooper.

Wow, I expected the proverbial left wing gay guy putting down the Christain. Instead the actor had something worthwhile to say. The meanspirited Eastcoast must be losing there grip on what's news.

What in the world does this have to do with a series leaving Bravo Channel? OOPS!

Score one for Kirk! He was brought on to be a religious "punching bag" for another arrogant, smug, media talking head, but instead, he made Mr. Cooper look like what he is....an overpaid, smarter than thou, eliteist. Again, Kirk Cameron 1...CNN & Anderson Cooper..."zero."

Thanks for the refreshing statement from Kirk

I'm really impressed by the way Kirk Cameron handle Cooper's questions. I'm just stunned that he would be asking a celebrity on his input based upon his religious beliefs! Its as if he's mocking his beliefs on Bible prophecy and whatever Kirk has to say about the subject will be blasted and fabricated to no end so Anderson Cooper can gain an audience and ratings. Its mysterious but I certainly don't feel the end of days is near.
