Earlier this week, a video of a homeless man in Columbus, Ohio, named Ted Williams hit the Internet. Upon first glance, he looks like your average dude holding up a sign at the side of the road -- but anyone who takes a minute to talk to him will realize that he has an out-of-control amazing voice. After seeing the video, Redditors in the Columbus area got to work trying to find ways to help Ted get back on his feet using his amazing talents.
The result: less than 8 hours after the call to action was posted on Reddit, Ted has been scheduled to appear on Columbus' 'The Morning Zoo' radio show. What's even better, other Redditors have offered their services to help jumpstart his career, including money donations (over $1,000 so far), a cell phone, a business suit and a website.

I'm really happy for this man and hope he does nothing but move forward. I can't help but think though, what about all the other homeless people without an 'amazing voice'?

I could listen to his voice all day long. He's managed to stay clean for two years. I hope he continues to do so and reaps the benefits of the changes in his life.

God Bless Mr. Williams! What an amazing, beautiful voice he has- perfect diction, very resonant. I'd love to hear him do voice overs for movie trailers, too. It sounds like he turned his life around- all he needed was the right person (or Co.) to recognize his talent. 3 cheers to him!! * THIS * is the type of news we need to hear more often! :-)

I'm just curious. On the today show he mentioned he has 9 children. I'm wondering why if he had family, why was he homeless? I know he had issues with drugs and alcohol but couldn't anyone in his family have helped him????

A person cannot be helped by anyone unless they are willing to be helped. To many laws to keep would be helpers at bay.
The article says, "...anyone who takes a minute to talk to him will realize that he has an out-of-control amazing voice."
I would disagree. Williams has FANTASTIC voice control. This is what makes him exceptional.
