2011 Razzie Worst Picture Nominees Shortlist Is Out

Start rooting for your favorite bad movie of 2010 because the Golden Raspberry Award (aka Razzie) nominations will be announced Jan. 24. A shortlist of possible Worst Picture nominees has just been released.

According to the Los Angeles Times Awards Tracker blog, the 12 finalists are 'Little Fockers,' 'Sex and the City 2,' 'The Expendables,' 'Grown Ups,' 'Clash of the Titans,' 'Killers,' 'The Bounty Hunter,' 'Yogi Bear,' 'Jonah Hex,' 'The Last Airbender,' 'Vampires Suck' and 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.'

Some people may be surprised to see that 'Burlesque' did not make the cut. Often compared to the campy 'Showgirls,' one of the most infamous Razzie-winners, 'Burlesque' is at least shortlisted for six other categories, including potential acting (dis)honors for Cher, Christina Aguilera, Cam Gigandet and Kristen Bell.

Other possible names to be nominated include Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke, Emily Blunt, George Lopez and Angelina Jolie, who ironically could be nominated for 'The Tourist,' in spite of her Golden Globe nomination for the same role.

The Razzies are introducing a much-needed new category this year for Worst Eye-Gouging Misuse of 3-D. Look for 'Piranha 3-D,' 'Resident Evil: Afterlife' and 'The Nutcracker in 3-D' as likely nominees. But will terribly converted titles like 'Clash of the Titans' and 'The Last Airbender' be eligible?
