'Earl' Star Jaime Pressly Arrested in Los Angeles

'My Name Is Earl' actress Jaime Pressly was arrested Wednesday night for suspicion of driving under the influence.

Police sources tell TMZ that the 33-year-old star was driving in Santa Monica when police pulled her over at around 11 PM for an alleged traffic violation. Following a field sobriety test, she was arrested and booked.

Pressly was transported to the Santa Monica Jail, but it's unclear if she has been released.

The two-time Emmy nominee, who has a 2-year-old son with husband Simran Singh, has been busy since 'Earl' was canceled in 2009. She appeared in the 'Rules of Engagement' and starred in the TV movie 'Smoke Screen.'

Great looking through all those arrest photos. Lohan does the best mug shots. I'm guessing the girl from "The '70s Show" probably hasn't had a job in a while. The Quaids are just plain loco. Aren't the DUI people able to afford drivers?

No one wants to see anyone driving around drunk, but the sobriety level keeps getting lowered so that 1, or 2 drinks is enough to be illegal. And i don't want to hear that crap from non drinkers that 1 is too much. Bull. More people are killed by sober, stupid drivers. Let's get them off the road first. How many would fail a REAL tough driving test.

Add grannies and pappies to your list. Many of them drive like they're drunk. They have the reaction time of a drunk driver or someone high on drugs, maybe it's from all the medications they take. Also, the now have limited peripheral vision.

Jaime was hilarious on my name is earl. She made the entire show. But it does get me that everyone knows the woman has the cash for a cab, and choice to drive instead.
I hope she has learned to do better from now on.

This happens everywhere and everyday. The only difference is that celebrities seem to get off so easy from offenses like this that getting caught doesn't faze them like it would non-celebrities.
