'Earl' Star Jaime Pressly Arrested in Los Angeles

'My Name Is Earl' actress Jaime Pressly was arrested Wednesday night for suspicion of driving under the influence.

Police sources tell TMZ that the 33-year-old star was driving in Santa Monica when police pulled her over at around 11 PM for an alleged traffic violation. Following a field sobriety test, she was arrested and booked.

Pressly was transported to the Santa Monica Jail, but it's unclear if she has been released.

The two-time Emmy nominee, who has a 2-year-old son with husband Simran Singh, has been busy since 'Earl' was canceled in 2009. She appeared in the 'Rules of Engagement' and starred in the TV movie 'Smoke Screen.'

I think it is totally inappropriate to arrest a woman as pretty as her. I question the sanity of the officer who arrested her. There are plenty of ugly people the officer could spend his/her time arresting.
