Sorry to disappoint you , but I spend half of my day working hard to give my kids the things I didn't have growing up . Taking that word out is a HUGE mistake. People who read that book young, NEVER use that word. I know, I had a cast on my L arm at 13 yo, and read HF to keep me occupied. A black English teacher I had loved that I was reading for enjoyment and said that was his first book for fun. I’ve been an avid reader since and that was 30+ years ago.
