We can't wait to see the wedding photos. Supermodel Petra Nemcova is engaged to British actor Jamie Belman, UK Vogue reports.

The couple, who have been dating for eight months after being introduced by friends, enjoyed their new engagement with their families over the holidays.

Nemcova tragically lost her boyfriend Simon Atlee in Thailand's 2004 tsunami, having survived the horrific event herself by holding on a palm tree until rescuers could reach her.

Because of her experience, she started her own humanitarian foundation, the Happy Hearts Fund, which helps rebuild schools in areas affected by natural disasters. She recently spent time in Haiti working with local schoolchildren affected by last year's earthquake.

This will be Nemcova's first marriage. She has also dated singer James Blunt and fellow humanitarian Sean Penn, according to E!.
