PopEater Debuts Our Taylor Swift - Jake Gyllenhaal Breakup Song

The other day, after hearing about Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal's split, we sat down at our desks and wrote a little tune -- which we joked was Swift's inevitable ode to Gyllenhaal, since she is known for penning songs about her former dudes.

Then we got a little ambitious and decided to make an actual music video from our work, entitled 'Left My Heart in a Coffee Cup,' since the majority of their dates seemed to be at Brooklyn and Nashville coffee houses. (Also: see photo above.) Watch our creation!

She can't sing and she's ugly. Maybe her songs will be more entertaining once she grasps life beyond high school, until then I'll keep my Kate Bush and PJ Harvey. Playing the poor little victim is a bit overdone.

What were they together for, like 5 minutes? If you think you can wring a song out of some fake heartache, then more power to you, but I'm not buying it.

She's got a tin ear and a thin voice anyway. I find her songs puerile and derivitive.

She seems like a really nice person. However, for the most part, her songs all sound the same. How about being more versatile and writing songs about something other than her relationships? Nobody can show their true talents by playing it safe.

Taylor ... Taylor .... hun Please i beg you to grow up these songs about ex boyfriends are now way past getting old, I think you need to set down with a proffesional and talk about all of your boyfriend problems and why they dont last. Your a sweet person, and you do have some nice songs, But lets get into a new mood and throw caution to the wind and write yourself a song that doesn't hapen to do with fairy tale endings and ex boyfriends.But keep up the good work on your songs!!!
