'DWTS' pro Maks Chmerkovskiy Seeks Love on Ukraine's 'The Bachelor'

Sexy 'Dancing With the Stars' pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy has steamed up the dance floor with beauties including Brandy Norwood, Erin Andrews and Mel B. But now he's taking his moves to his homeland of Ukraine to win the heart of one lucky lady in that nation's version of 'The Bachelor.'

Although Chmerkovskiy had previously declared he'd never go on a dating reality TV show, he defended his choice on his website. "This is the first thing in a VERY LONG TIME that I'm doing for ME. For the first time, I don't really care what people think. First time that I'm not being 'judged', 'placed' or 'criticized.'"

In the same post on his website, Chmerkovskiy wrote that he turned down ABC's American 'Bachelor.' EW.com has since debunked that claim, as a 'Bachelor' source insists the 30-year-old dancer was never offered a season of the U.S. franchise.

Chmerkovskiy arrived in Ukraine Nov. 26, almost immediately after the latest 'Dancing With the Stars' season ended. He reportedly filmed for four to six weeks. Many wondered if a photo he posted on Twitter of a snowy chalet was a location for the show. Erin Andrews, his 'DWTS' season 10 partner, told Access Hollywood she had "no idea" if he found love during his overseas adventure.

Chmerkovskiy, often linked to 'DWTS' partners including Andrews and once engaged to fellow ballroom pro Karina Smirnoff, has said in the press that after turning 30, he and his family felt it was time to get serious about settling down.

On his website, he continued, "There has never been a show such as this in Ukraine, and it makes me think that a first season would be the most 'real' as far as participant's perception of 'what it's all about.' ... I know it's hard to find someone you can connect to on a project like this, but nothing is impossible. For the sake of the show I can't reveal anything, but I must say I am very pleasantly surprised so far."

Here, Andrews denies she ever got romantic with Chmerkovskiy but confirms he is, indeed, 'The Bachelor' in Ukraine.

So we're not the only country that has terrible garbage like this on tv, that's good to know. Although those Ukrainian girls are usually nothing but gold digging skanks anyways, so no surprise. I'm sure they'll be all over him like chlamydia is on Kim Kardashian.

Good Luck to the lady that he's fortunate to capture the heart of, and perhaps his mother made him decide to go on this show, as she would want him to marry someone of his own nationality!
Surprised his family didn't already have a marriage arranged? Seriously, he's so full of himself, I feel for the lady he decides to choose as his life partner! Guess he figures,it can't hurt and can be fun getting to know many women in his home land? He and Smironoff, DWTS, would do us all a favor, at least me, not having those two back on!

so if the execs from the show took the time to meet with him, and he is in fact an admittedmly HOT bachelor, were they meeting to discuss his favorite ice cream flavor or boxer or brief??? Hello people it may not have been a contract offer but i believe the man was offered the post and now they are trying to set up drama for him for saying no. That's low down; see, thats why i love Maks the men nowadays act like female of the worst kind and have zero balls or integrity to speak of. Go Maks you are adored. Max is a very good looking and sexy man. Blame his parents if you don't like it! As for he and Brandy getting together, she wished!!
Just because he's friendly with his partners, doesn't mean he wants to get involved with all of them. Plus he's got better taste than that. If you think he's a little arrogant, take another look at him, he is HOT, and there's not a lot of men around in his category.

Yeah, I used to think that Maks and Brandy would be a good couple and by all outward appearances they seemed perfect for each other. But, I don't know if Maks has it in him to be a one-woman man -- even when he was engaged to Smirnoff he had a wondering eye for the camera to see (got to youtube and look at when they appeared on an episode of the Wendy Williams show. He is very attractivem, but so is Brandy and being attractive and talented dancer does not make him better than Brandy. She is a self-made woman who has made herself and her family rich and famous. She became famous first through her talent and hard work and brought her brother into the game. She has good strong morals and is also a business woman and an exceptional singer and performer. He would be very lucky to have a woman like Brandy. But, he would have to be able to be true and I don't know if that's possible for Maks with anyone. Brandy deserves better.

There must be some deal breaking personality defect involved since he has been surrounded by available females. He continuously accepted the critisms of the judges with defensive, child-like chatter.
