Did Bristol Palin Call Out Her Mom on Twitter or Was it a Hoax?
When word caught fire on Monday after a tweet allegedly written by
Bristol Palin was posted with the account
@Bristol_Palin, appearing to be a direct attack at her mother
Sarah Palin, skeptics smelled something like a hoax.
Was it really Bristol? The
Village Voice attempted to dissect the truth from the Twitter account and came up with convincing results.
The original suspicious tweet was posted on Sunday as the following, "You are a paid member of the 'lame stream media' you're always referring to, mom. Fire all of your ghost writers and tweet for yourself :(," Bristol, 20, allegedly
tweeted.
The account is unverified, so the Village Voice contacted Twitter to confirm the account. While the Voice has not heard back, the paper is hedging its bets that Twitter will soon add a "fake" disclaimer on the alleged Bristol account.
Another indicator is that the account has only 74 tweets with a bunch of exchanged tweets with an account under the name of Bristol's sister Willow Palin,
@WillowPalinUSA, which is widely considered fake. Also both accounts were created on the same day, which with conventional thought, leads us to believe they were both created by the same person as a huge prank.
Since Sarah's
Twitter account hadn't referred to the "lame stream media" for more than a month, the timing of Bristol's supposed tweet is random at best. However, since the tragic attempted assassination on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in Arizona this past weekend, Sarah has
taken flack for her perceived instigative talking points.
The relationship between Bristol and Sarah was uncomfortable at times during Bristol's competitive run on 'Dancing With the Stars' when Bristol beat back
reports suggesting Sarah had forced her into the competition.
Mediaite also noticed Bristol's Facebook updates come from an iPhone, while the @Bristol_Palin Twitter posts from an Android. So unless Bristol has two phones, or uses ghost writers herself...

This is all a set-up for Palin to say that she had NOTHING to do with the cross-hairs on her blog/PAC, etc. and fire someone for putting up messages that she never intended.

Sarah is in this for nothing but the attention. She has no real knowledge of what the American people believe in.
