Denise Richards' Romance With Nikki Sixx Was 'Just for Fun'

Although Denise Richards likes to date bad boys, she has learned that they are not the best bets for serious relationships. After a four-year marriage to actor Charlie Sheen, then a two-year twirl with Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, her recent romance with Motley Cru rocker Nikki Sixx was more for fun.

"She does like the bad boys, but the relationship with Nikki was just for fun and was never intended to be forever," a source close to Richards tells PopEater.

Richards and Sixx were spotted holding hands outside of a California movie theater in December. A source close to Richards confirmed the report, telling PopEater that the two friends are "getting to know each other slowly, so technically she did go on dates with him."

Over the holidays, Richards and her daughters vacationed in Hawaii, while Sixx spent New Year's with his daughters in Mexico. They tweeted back and forth, but things seemed casual and cool. Now they have ended their romance and decided to stay friends.

The doting mom, who has two young daughters with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, is looking for more stability when it comes to relationships, the source says. She has been busy with her career and kids and likes to have a good time without getting serious.

"Denise has plenty of money and artistic ambitions of her own," says the source. "Raising her daughters is a priority. She is not waiting for a man to fulfill her life. If she meets one, that is fine. Until then, she likes to have a good time."
