Eva Longoria's Restaurant Files for Bankruptcy

Times are tough, and Eva Longoria's Sin City restaurant is feeling it firsthand.

Beso, the Las Vegas restaurant owned by the 'Desperate Housewives' actress, has filed for bankruptcy for restructuring purposes, according to E! Online.

Since opening just two years ago, the restaurant has accumulated upward of $5.7 million in debt, despite grossing $14.6 million last year.

Beso LLC filed for Chapter 11 protection in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for assets totaling $2.5 million, according to the Las Vegas Sun. Both the restaurant and the adjacent nightclub, Eve, have had trouble keeping up with the lease.

From $76,000-a-month losses to $1.8 million owed to landlords, Beso LLC has some major money problems on its hands.

According to the court filing, Longoria has a 32 percent stake in the company, and is also listed as a creditor, having given Beso a $1 million loan to help fund its startup.

Beso's money problems follow a tumultuous few months for Longoria, who filed for divorce last fall from San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker.

Reps for both the actress and the restaurant declined to comment on the bankruptcy filing.
