Keira Knightley, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Biel Up for Roles in Batman, 'Dark Knight Rises'

Director Christopher Nolan is considering some of Hollywood's leading ladies, as well as a few rising stars, for two major female roles in the upcoming Batman film 'Dark Knight Rises.' Nolan is said to be considering Keira Knightley, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Biel, along with relative newcomers Kate Mara and Charlotte Riley, for the two female leads.

Hollywood Reporter says Nolan is casting two women, one for a villain and the other to play Batman's lover. While well-known Knightley, Hathaway and Biel are in serious consideration for the parts, emerging stars Mara, whose sister Rooney is currently filming 'The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo', and Riley are expected to screen test for the roles in the next two weeks as well.

Despite some online reports, neither Naomi Watts nor Eva Green have been cast in either roles in 'Dark Knight Rises.' Christian Bale, however, is reprising his role as the Caped Crusader, though the actor says this is the last time he'll play Batman.

i'm voting for Anne Hathaway, but i'd do anything i could if i could see Kate Beckinsale with Christian Bale. whoever Christopher Nolan picks will be fantastic. good luck to all parties involved.

I agree that Keira Knightley and Anne Hathaway would be great in the move KK as the love interest and AH as the villian. That would be a good movie as long as Christian Bale is still the dark knight. He is such a beautiful man but masculine.
