Earlier this month, we reported about 14-year-old, SAG nominee Hailee Steinfeld being majorly let down by Lea Michele when the 'Glee' starlet refused to sign an autograph. In an interview with J-14 Magazine, Hailee described the snub as one of her most embarrassing moments.But Gossip Cop discovered that one key part of the story was omitted. It was not Lea Michele who "dissed" the talented 'True Grit' star. It was actually a production assistant, whose premiere role on set was to keep the show's tenacious fans at bay.
Even though Lea wasn't at fault for Hailee's letdown, she still feels bad. "I heard Hailee was upset and feel terrible," she said. "The 'Glee' schedule is so jam-packed that the PA probably pulled me so that I wouldn't be late to set. I never meant to hurt her feelings. She's an extraordinary talent, and I look forward to meeting her one day."

Lea Michelle is also a Broadway brat so knows about dealing with fans. Hopefully she can get Hailee to visit the set and get a photo together and with the cast and all will be well once more.
Saw True Grit, Miss Steinfeld held her own with Damon and Bridges.

The young Lady from True Grit will probably have a long movie career, while the other will be stuck doing soap opera on TV

So sorry, but Lea Michelle is acting innocent now because of all of the backlash she's received. Now she blames somebody else. Gimme a break! Lea is a diva and everyone knows it. She is not at all pretty and is no more talented than the rest of the cast of Glee. She's way too full of herself and a few years from now, she will be forgotten; while Hailee will be a very big star! She rocks in True Grit!

So since Lea Michele says the PA was the cause of the diss, it's true and Hailee was obviously wrong because you can't trust the words of a young girl who sees someone she admires. I'm sure Lea remembers the encounter with a girl who was an unknown actress at the time (read: sarcasm). I gotta believe the kid - just because Lea blames someone else, doesn't mean it didn't happen.

met lea michele in new york at american idiot play and she was sweet and polite, the fans stoppted her to ask for pictures and she was nice with each of them.

Not a good excuse, it was rude to treat a little girl like that. A pa was pulling her so she wouldnt be late for set..
Unless the pa had their hands covering Michele's eyes, its not a very good excuse. I can see everyone I walk past, even if someones pulling me.

You're talking non-sense.Lea simply hadn't time because she was filming.And she DOES have more talent than the other actors in the show and won't fade away.Will see if that Hailee does something in the future,because she didn't yet.

Yeah Right! I met her when I was an extra on Glee and she was THE WORST!!!! Refused to speak or acknowledge anyone.
Everyone else on the cast was so sweet and nice.
