Vanilla Ice Reveals Why He Broke Up With Madonna

Rapper Vanilla Ice revealed in an interview that he dated Madonna in 1991. It was "exciting" to be in a relationship with an older woman, and she was a "great lover," he told 'News of the World,' according to Digital Spy. He was 24 years old, and Madonna was 33 at the time they were dating.

Ice, whose real name is Robert Van Winkle, ended it when Madonna published her 1992 coffee-table book 'Sex,' which featured intimate photographs of the couple and images of her with other men.

"I broke up with her after she printed that book because I was hurt to be an unwitting part of this slutty package," said the 'Ice Ice Baby' rapper. "It was disgusting and cheap. We were in a relationship, yet it looked like she was screwing all these other people."

He goes on to say, "I thought she was taking pictures and running round naked because she was like that. Then when the book came out I was so embarrassed and ashamed. It was a porno. She threw me in like I was a product off a shelf, and I didn't appreciate it. That was it, and I ended it. She said she didn't have sex with these men, but it looked like she was."

Ice is currently participating in the U.K. reality competition 'Dancing on Ice.'

If this story wasn't so pathetic it would be hilarious...wait it IS hilarious. A guy named Vanilla who was on the radar for 5 minutes? Who got big because he stole someone else's tune? Hurt because he was too stupid to realize that "Madonna" used him as flavor of the month (vanilla anyone?) then went about and created yet another self promoting book for herself? Didn't he read the fine print? Yeah, I think he should just savor the thought that he got to do something a million other people out there would have drooled over at the time...he got to have sex with Madonna! Not so much now but back then...yeow!

It's obvious that Madonna runs around with different men. I don't know why Vanilla Ice is so surprised now. She didn't have to write a book of her life. We all already know about Madonna's crazy life with men. She never hid it. He's not an angle either.

Sounds to me like, if he's bringing it up after all this time, he must be looking for publicity. It's been almost 20 years. Who would care now about him going out with her for a year and why he broke it off... 20 years ago? It might have still been interesting if he was still famous, but he's not (proven by being on one of those 'supposedly' career-restarting reality shows) and it's not.

Reply to Barbara: The interview was for a UK reality show. Reality shows are the only show biz employment Ice Ice Baby has seen in the last 15 years. He had no idea that she would go and do something like that, even
though you were in an intimate relationship with her? I guess he wasn't just younger, he was really naive, bordering on stupid! If
you didn't know Madonna for what she was really like, you have to
be friggin' blind! I don't personally know her, but have seen her
in concert twice and have seen how provocative she is in front of
hundreds of thousands of people.. Besides why is he even bringing
