Stephen Baldwin: 'I Did a Very Foolish Thing' by Attacking Sean Hannity
EXCLUSIVE: Stephen Baldwin knows he's been a bad, bad boy. The 'Usual Suspects' actor has chosen
PopEater to publicly apologize to Sean Hannity for saying he should "get off the radio" for exhibiting "petty stupidity" by bashing Stephen's older brother Alec on the air last week.
"I did a very foolish thing," Stephen admits when he reacted negatively (and publicly) after Sean played Alec's pig-headed voice mails to his then 11-year-old daughter during a Jan. 4 broadcast. "When Sean played that again, it really caused a knee-jerk reaction in me 'cause it's my brother," he tells PopEater.

That "knee-jerk reaction" came in the form of a text message and comments to Page Six, where Stephen bellowed, "This behavior by Hannity is the stupidity that people often refer to when they think of George W. Bush and Sarah Palin. If he needs to lower himself to petty stupidity, then he needs to get off the radio."
Them's fightin' words and the FOX News star quickly shot back by slamming the '30 Rock'-er for not fighting his own battles.
"Alec trash-mouths all the time, including me, and it's too bad he needs his little brother to defend him," he said. "I don't need lectures from any Baldwin on conservatism, religion, politics or anything else. That's one screwed-up bunch."
Stephen now says that what Sean isn't taking into consideration is that making fun of someone can be "hurtful to others. Other members of my family."
Chalk it all up to brotherly love, but Stephen now thinks he was in the wrong and is ready to attone to his fellow Christian conservative.
"I'm here ... to publicly apologize to Sean Hannity and say that I'm very sorry. That was not the correct thing to do, and I feel terrible about it. In turn, it became a much more exacerbated situation because he got upset, and he got angry and kind of used his platform in a greater way to make the matters worse. So I just wanna call it even, and wanna say Sean, from the bottom of my heart, God bless ya. I apologize and wanna take the higher road here, bury the hatchet and just hopefully start over."
Stephen's brother, Billy, also stood up for Alec last week, telling me on my
HDNet show 'Naughty But Nice Rob' that those infamous voice mails are "totally misunderstood."

Lynnz, You don't always have your brothers back. If your brother does something wrong you should be truthful enough to admit it. The same when you make a mistake. I think he only spoke up to put his name back in the news.
Anyone remember when one of the Baldwin brothers swore he was going to leave the country for good if George Bush was elected President? Well he did it twice but Baldwin is still here.
I'm sure the Libs has a good reason for this though.
Who really cares what these movie stars has to say anyways? I came here to read about Sean, not the Baldwin drug brothers.I'm really suprised that any of them has not overdosed yet. Just a bunch of has beens.

Baldwin is the last man from whom I'd expect critism, considering the cruel and disgusting way he has treated his wives.
If this is what they call a "misunderstanding" I hate to see what their lives are like. Alex was an a** to that child as he is an a** in public. If that offends his brothers, welll...facts are facts, face it.

No HE didn't win...he was appointed. Votes not being counted, machines being tampered with does not constitute a win. Finally he was appointed by the Conservative Controlled Supreme Court.
Hey, Ann, prove that the machines were tampered with. Prove that after 3 recounts and Gore still trailed in FL that it would have been different. The SC did what they had to do. The situation was getting out of control and the constitutional requirements came into play.

When Sean doesn't have anything else to say on his program, he brings up old news, that has nothing to do with today's problems. I have said all along, that no one can be that squeaky clean, as Sean pretends to be, and some day the worm will turn, and someone out of his past will blow his hollier then thou attitude.

Sean talking about Alex was not "old news." Sean was responding to a report that Alex was thinking about running for public office,,, that is "new news."
Sean is a very intelligent broadcaster and is usually fair and very knowledgeable in whatever subject he is engaged in. I think Stephen has a straw tail as far as his liberal brother is concerned. I whole heartedly agree that both brothers ought to stick to acting as I do enjoy their talent but as far as politics is concerned, they haven't a clue.
Well said. I would love nothing better than for someone to put that snug idiot in his place. I used to watch FOX, and his show, until I realized how totally bias they were.

Deany, you sound as disturbed as the Baldwins. They always fell to see their problems lie within them. It is all right when they lash out at others but can't seem to take it when the tide turns on them. Sean Hannity is a fine man with Christians morals and I love his quest to make America a better place. If the Baldwin's were as moral as Sean, there would be no problem. Your problem is you are a total liberal wanting revenge on a conservative.
If he and all the other Baldwins would shut up and keep their minds on acting they might do better at the box office. Anyone remember the Dixie Chicks? They couldn't keep their mouths shut either now they are history. Never liked them as actors anyway can you tell.
