Stephen Baldwin: 'I Did a Very Foolish Thing' by Attacking Sean Hannity
EXCLUSIVE: Stephen Baldwin knows he's been a bad, bad boy. The 'Usual Suspects' actor has chosen
PopEater to publicly apologize to Sean Hannity for saying he should "get off the radio" for exhibiting "petty stupidity" by bashing Stephen's older brother Alec on the air last week.
"I did a very foolish thing," Stephen admits when he reacted negatively (and publicly) after Sean played Alec's pig-headed voice mails to his then 11-year-old daughter during a Jan. 4 broadcast. "When Sean played that again, it really caused a knee-jerk reaction in me 'cause it's my brother," he tells PopEater.
Watch after the jump.
That "knee-jerk reaction" came in the form of a text message and comments to Page Six, where Stephen bellowed, "This behavior by Hannity is the stupidity that people often refer to when they think of George W. Bush and Sarah Palin. If he needs to lower himself to petty stupidity, then he needs to get off the radio."
Them's fightin' words and the FOX News star quickly shot back by slamming the '30 Rock'-er for not fighting his own battles.
"Alec trash-mouths all the time, including me, and it's too bad he needs his little brother to defend him," he said. "I don't need lectures from any Baldwin on conservatism, religion, politics or anything else. That's one screwed-up bunch."
Stephen now says that what Sean isn't taking into consideration is that making fun of someone can be "hurtful to others. Other members of my family."
Chalk it all up to brotherly love, but Stephen now thinks he was in the wrong and is ready to attone to his fellow Christian conservative.
"I'm here ... to publicly apologize to Sean Hannity and say that I'm very sorry. That was not the correct thing to do, and I feel terrible about it. In turn, it became a much more exacerbated situation because he got upset, and he got angry and kind of used his platform in a greater way to make the matters worse. So I just wanna call it even, and wanna say Sean, from the bottom of my heart, God bless ya. I apologize and wanna take the higher road here, bury the hatchet and just hopefully start over."
Stephen's brother, Billy, also stood up for Alec last week, telling me on my
HDNet show 'Naughty But Nice Rob' that those infamous voice mails are "totally misunderstood."

Baldwin's are a family of drunks and drug addicts without morals. They've made more bad movies then good ones....but yet they continue to be in the business.....??? Why?

Beck - Alcoholic, Limbaugh, Drug user and abuser, O'Reilly, sexual predator = any other questions?
In all fairness, Hannity is a lowlife and wouldn't know religion if a church fell on him.

The whole baldwin family are wackos. alec, I am going to leave America if President Bush gets elected and this jerk. If a conservative did this the lieberal press would be asking for his execution of at least a life sentence for being dangerous.

The thing is, Bush is an imbecil that does recognize it and also celebrates it like a "normal good follower american", and he as the rest of conservadors, make mistakes constantly, and NEVER apologize for them. It will be acceptable, if they would hurt this country and its peoples, who are responsible for electing them to destroy this nation, but there is not way out, and abandonning USA, it won't solve the problem, because the conservadors make sure to destroy and cause more damage to every single other country in the planet! I understand if Alec did not leave USA, after a second chance given by the conservadors to the mentally orphan of George W Bush!
When you follow up an apology with "And in turn..." it's not an apology. When you apologize you stop with your part and don't say anything about what the other person did. Good for Baldwin to admit what he did was wrong but he should have stopped there.

He's just another Baldwin blow-hard. Stick to making "movies" on SyFy, idiot.

I can't stand the Baldwin brothers. Bunch of no talent hacks. Stephen is the biggest a-hole of the bunch! Wasn't Alec supposed to leave the United States when George Dubya got elected a few years back? He can STILL GO as far as I'm concerned!

If this isn't a case of the pot calling the kettle black...I don't know what is!!! Mr. Baldwin says that Sean doesn't seem to understand that saying negative things about someone can hurt them. Then he turns right around and bad-mouths Sarah Palin and George Bush with absolutely no cause...! Mr. Baldwin has some more apologizing to do.

All the Baldwin brother act like jerks all the time, it make no difference where they are or who it is directed towards. They are very left wing ( which is fine ) but if someone disagree with them be it Hannity, George Bush or Sarah Palin they they say get off the radio no 1st amendment rights for a Conservatives. I guess only the left has 1st amendment rights .What Alec said was WAY out of line but hey if Sarah Palin spoke to Piper this way I am sure the left would say it was OK to speak to a child this way, no one would say a word............... ya right.s

I wonder if Stephen had a similar "knee jerk reaction" when he heard how his brother attacked his niece on the voicemail...

These celebrities live in a world where the women can sleep with dozens of men, take their clothes off to seell their product and act like they are some kind of role model...Where men can get drunk/drug, abuse their children and wives, apologize, and think it's all is well. Hollywood is a place where accountability is a bad word...

Call me a stickler but I'm not at all sure I would be so hasty to defend a family member who was abusive to a child & Alec Baldwin's behavior was nothing short of that. Public humiliation is hardly an adequate repercussion but liberal Hollywood being liberal Hollywood will no doubt circle the wagons & protect its own no matter what. Mr. Baldwin at the very least needs a major course in anger management. While I have always liked Stephan way & above better, I thought his remark involving Palin & Bush was way off base & inappropriate in the context it was said if he were simply angry over some insult to his brother. It came across as simply another mindless insubstantial liberal rant. I stand with Mr. Hannity because while I applaud Stephan for making an effort to apologize, it still came across as a little artificial.

I'd like to catch Hannity in a dark alley. I'd sure teach him a lesson in diplomacy that he'd never forget! He's the most "Un-Christian" hate filled bigot on the radio other than Oxycodone Addict Rush Limpballs. I'd be thrilled if Rush could be in that dark alley as well! Two hate filled bigots with one stone!
Alec Baldwin should sue Hannity for defamation.
Personally, I'd like to paint some of Sarah's "cross hairs" on them and then take down the post as soon as they are shot, just like Sarah Palin did!

Almost sounds like a pararble, doesn't it? "Now I say to you, which one of these acted in the most Christian of ways? The one who is saying he was wrong or he-without-sin Hannity who hurls more insults? Hannity insults many, and most of the time just to prove some kind of Conservative view-point.

He's as stupid as his brother, and that is quite an achievement.
