Tony Bennett to Record Duet With Amy Winehouse

Tony Bennett may have begun his career more than 60 years ago, but the octogenarian legend hasn't let time keep his style from evolving.

The New York Post reports that Bennett is gearing up for a duet with soul sensation Amy Winehouse, whom Bennett claims is a big fan of his work.

Bennett confirmed, saying, "We're working on partnering up to record a duet together, but it's still in the works."

Bennett's wife, Susan Bennedetto, says that Winehouse "went to see him twice while he was performing in London."

With any luck, Bennett's influence will rub off on the troubled star -- the singer, who admits to battling cocaine addiction in his memoir 'The Good Life,' has been sober since the late 1970s and routinely denounces the lifestyle that almost cost him his career.

She's nothing to look at but after watching her concert on Palladia,Id have to say she is unbelievably talented.Shes like alot of the artsy types with the tatoos,partying,drinking but so was bennet and the rat pack back in the 50s -70s

well....i'm not a big fan (actually, i can't name one song she has sung). but, apparently, she must be liked by more than a few people.
so....i guess whatever she does, some will call it singing.
i may not like how she sings, but, some may not like the types of music i listen to.
to each his own.

she has a really good voice. just needs to get her life together and get clean. who cares about looks. there are so many other singers who have looked worse at one point. maybe tony can influence her style too.

it's amazing how a really good guy such as Tony Bennett can have a powerfully good influence over someone like Amy, youger and "not so full of wisdom," and help them make a turn around for the better in their lives. I hope Amy takes notice and is inspired by Tony to turn her life around. God Bless Tony.

I read the article about a possible Tony Bennett duet with Amy Winehouse with great interest. While I am a fan of Mr. Bennett, I must admit I do not follow the music of Ms. Winehouse. Only things I know about her are she has a drug problem and her husband/mate at one time was in prison. However, I was shocked to see her photo in the article because she looks Sober. Every other photo I have seen of her had her looking High and Wild with a bee hive hair style.

I love Tony Bennet, I also love Ms Winehouse. She has an amazing voice and it is sad to see the self-destruction. Maybe she needs what Tony can give her in terms of her music and life style. It brings to mine another troubled singer, who also had her issue and problems with drugs, but the gave the world beutiful music, Ms Billie Holiday. Way before my time, but still loved her music, as my kids loved the Beatles that were before my daughter's time.

New York if she is fueled up with the correct amount of controlled substances she sings like a bidr more than likely a crow
