Lady Gaga Projected to Make $100 Million in 2011

Lady Gaga, known as much for her flamboyant outfits and personality as her infectious pop hits, is on track to make $100 million this year, according to Forbes. That's a lot of zeros.

The 'Bad Romance' singer is set to make almost $40 million more than she did in 2010. Last year, she was the seventh-highest paid musician in the world, making just $1 million less than hip-hop powerhouse Jay-Z.

How did she earn so much money? Touring, touring, touring. Lady Gaga's shows command a much higher average ticket price ($102) than other current acts, and she put on a whopping 138-stop tour last year.

Experts estimate Gaga's album sales will also significantly boost her earnings. She'll release her next album, the highly anticipated 'Born This Way,' in May and could earn up to $15 million from record sales alone. Her last album, 'The Fame,' sold more than 12 million copies. Many expect 'Born This Way' to meet, if not exceed, that number.

Nothing seems to be slowing the singer down. Gaga has 41 shows scheduled -- including multiple dates at arenas like New York's Madison Square Garden -- during the next six months. With her new album set to drop this spring, projections that she'll pass the $100 million mark seem likely.

And if 'Born this Way' does as well as expected and she decides to tour in the later half of 2011, Gaga could bring in even more money, as she'd have to move her show from arenas to stadiums to accommodate larger audiences, earning her as much as $1 million each night -- for a $130 million total in what Forbes refers to as an "absolute best-case scenario."

Gaga is already calling 'Born This Way' the best of the decade, and according to Lady-gaga.net, the first single drops in mid-February, with the album landing in stores a few months later.

Look for her to perform the titular track on the Grammys on Feb. 13.
