Owen Wilson Welcomes Baby Boy in Hawaii

Owen Wilson is tackling his biggest role yet- fatherhood! The actor and girlfriend Jade Duell, welcomed a baby boy in Hawaii, said Usmagazine.com.

New dad Owen Wilson was able to keep his one-year-old relationship with girlfriend Jade Duell a secret up until the couple announced Monday that they were expecting. The 'Little Fockers' star intentionally kept his private life out of the spotlight. "Owen has had many girlfriends under the radar who no one knew about," says a source close to Wilson. "He may have dated high-profile women like actress Kate Hudson and musician Sheryl Crow, but that is not the norm for him. He likes regular people."

Wilson spent many holidays traveling around the world and hanging out in Hawaii where he owns property. He and Duell have enjoyed a clean, outdoor lifestyle, which includes surfing, swimming and hiking on Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver, British Columbia.

"He tries to blend into a community and has always kept his private life as secretive as possible," the source says, adding that his family has also been instructed to say nothing to anyone about him or his relationships.

Wilson, who is thrilled about becoming a first-time father, comes from a close-knit family in Dallas. His father is an advertising executive, speaker and writer, and his mom is an accomplished photographer. With brothers Luke and Andrew, Wilson has always maintained a close relationship with his parents, returning to Dallas several times a year.

The source also said that "some of the good upbringing [Wilson] had will have a chance to shine on its own merit. It's a whole new chapter in the Owen Wilson book of life."

I hope that now that he's a father, he'll be a lot more emotionally stable than he has in the past. That baby - and the mom - need a man they can depend on, not one who tries to off himself when he's feeling depressed.

Takes 9 months to have a baby, says they have known each other right over a year, he didn't even know this girl. This chick wasted no time in sealing the deal for her meal ticket. Like she doesn't know what birth control is? Pathetic. Men, wear condoms unless you want scammed like this. He'll never marry her, she's proven what she is about.

congrats to Owen, I really wish him, the momma, and the baby a wonderful life.

however, i do have a bone to pick: "keeping the relationship secret for a year"... its because there was no relationship. the two went on a date or two, ended up pregnant, and in the hollywood world, are now calling it a "relationship". we aint dum. best wishes to all involved though. sorry you couldnt tell the truth.

So he knocked up this girl within 6-8 weeks after they got together? If they've only been together for about a year and she has already had the baby, they just cut right to the chase didn't they?

A relationship of that magnitude generally doesn't last. We'll be hearing soon that they split up. I guess she now has a meal ticket for the next 18 years or so.

hello Birth control has up to a 5% failure rate if used correctly and not all women can or should use birth control to begin with cancer survivors those at risk of heartattack or stroke those with an ulcer or certain bleeding disorders. there's always been stars that were pregnant before marriage or got their significant other pregnant beofre marriage Linda McCartney for example was about 4 months pregnant when she married Paul March 12th 1969 with their first daughter Mary who was born August 28th 1969 of course she had also ben pregnant when she married her first husband June 12th 1962 and their daughter Heather who Paul Adopted was born December 31st 1962. at least their son wasn't born premature by C -section like Liza Todd Burton was August 6th 1957

The baby is here now so I do hope that Owen loves & takes care of this little boy the right way for the rest of his life. As far as staying with the Mom I will be very surprised. WHEN you do the math they only dated about 12 wks when she got pregnant. Sad.

I hope eveything works out well for Owen. Owen and the mother of his child, are basicly strangers. The chances of them staying together are slim at best. I just hope they can stay civil for the childs sake. It does sounds sneeky, that she was with child just weeks after they met. You never know what someone is planning in their minds. I hope it was just an accident, and not done for money.

Yet another celebrity and their girlfriend/boyfriend having a baby. Do any of these people think of getting married before procreating?

Why are some of you so negative and condescending? If he wants to have a baby with his g/f and keep it private, more power to him. If he wasn't a celebrity, no one wouldn't care less but since he is, all you hear is criticism of him keeping his personal life private. As far as his siblings? You can't hold Owen responsible for what any of his siblings have done or might do. Celebrity or not, that's very unfair! Good luck with the new baby Owen and God bless your new family!
