Helena Bonham Carter fearlessly stepped out on the 2011 Golden Globes red carpet wearing mismatched shoes. Perhaps she couldn't figure out which color she preferred?Wearing a floral print Vivienne Westwood gown and wild hair, her garbage-chic look was a real fashion statement. Maybe she's channeling her 'Harry Potter' character, Bellatrix Lestrange.
"I bought it last year because I loved it. I got it out of my cupboard today," Carter told USA Today about her dress.
Carter, who plays a young Queen Mother in 'The King's Speech,' is nominated for best supporting actress tonight.
Carter left Tim Burton at home and brought her mother to the Globes.

Good for her...in the grand scheme of things, this awards show is just entertainment it is not the G-8 Summit. If she wants to have fun and not take it seriously then more power to her. People act as though this is a matter of life and death. In the end, we as the audience decides if a TV show, movie or DVD is successful, not prancing down some red carpet in clothes and jewelry that costs more than someone's home.

Personally, I love Helena Bonham Carter's style. And the fact that she refuses to let anyone's opinions stop her from wearing what she wants. She is such a unique individual. This outfit she's wearing is actually very cute. And I love the mismatched shoes :)

And who says you have to wear matching shoes on the red carpet? Not Bonham Carter! :) What a great actress, it would have been nice to see her take the award.
