Howard Stern Accuses Jay Leno of Stealing Jokes

Shock jock Howard Stern has some less-than-flattering things to say about somebody, and this time, it's not a guest on his show.

The radio host is accusing late-night legend Jay Leno of ripping off his material. Stern appeared on Piers Morgan's CNN show and told the host, "Jay is insane. And Jay is a crook. And the world knows exactly what he's up to. He steals a tremendous amount of material," the New York Post reports.

This isn't the first time Stern has gone after Leno in the press. Not one to mince words, Stern said of Leno on the Early Show, "Just the mere mention of Jay Leno's name makes me to want to vomit," calling the 'Tonight Show' host, "a f****** con man, rip-off artist, no idea mother*******."

So tell us, Howard, how do you really feel?

The more recent accusations against Leno are nothing new. In 2009, Stern accused Leno of stealing one of his sketch ideas outright. In the bit in question, both hosts invite a chicken to predict football wins for the following week. "This must be a giant 'Punk'd' on me," said Stern following the incident. "This guy's ripped off like ten major things from my show. But the chicken thing we did for years."

If there's one thing we know about Stern, his grudge against Leno isn't going to end anytime soon, and his grievance has extended to the public at large. "I don't know how he's beaten David Letterman in the ratings," he said. "It's beyond my comprehension. America must be filled with morons who at night lay in bed -- the ones who are watching him, they must be in a coma."

obviously you are not a listener because if you were you would know that a lot of bits that Jay does are ones Howard has done a while ago. He steals not only bits but jobs, go CONAN!

Jay stealing from Howard? IMPOSSIBLE! Nothing Howard says would ever be worth stealing! Plus NBC has censors.

As for those who whine that Jay stole Conan's job, WAKE UP! IT'S THE OTHER WAY AROUND! NBC made its biggest screw-up ever by taking Jay's seat and handing it to that no-talent fratboy with the fake red hair. Jay reclaiming the Tonight Show was the reversal of an idiotic travesty. Please note that Conan's Tonight Show ratings are the only thing that moved Dave any closer to the #1 spot in the last 15 years!

He already makes more than Leno - He does it with Honesty and ORIGINALITY (I know - big word for you.. google the meaning!) He has done things his way since he started in radio and was successful without stealing other performers material - and his wife is one of the sweetest, most caring people you will ever see. Grow up and stop hating! Howard is funny, entertaining and real - Jay is just a D*ck - without an original thought in his giant head!

Can't speak for all the bits Howard accuses Jay of stealing, however, the psychic chicken bit is ancient. It's been around so long carnies used to use it and I believe existed much, much longer. I remember reading in an old book fortune tellers using chickens to pick tarot cards. So it's not exactly original material. It's a world wide trick. Don't believe me? type in "Psychic Chicken" into the google search engine and look at the websites. Guess all of them are plagiarizing Stern too?

Jay Leno basically has stolen all of Bob Hope's act. His material is basically updated Bob Hope stuff. He's boring and stale. BTW I would rather be married to Stern's wife than that frigid looking wife of Leno. At least Stern's wife probably laughs at his jokes.

Howard Stern & Letterman stole alot of material & bits from Steve Allen. It was Steve Allen who started asking questions to "the man on the street" Stern accuses Leno of stealing that idea from him-calls it Jaywalking. But Stern never admits when he hacks material.

If your so offended by Stern's language "why" do you tune in....which is doubtful. Tired old retired has been with nothing better to do then play "morals" cop.

Stern is just PO'd Jay won't allow him on his show again. Howard was Jay's little pet, Howard would dress up in a dress to please Leno. When Leno was really getting ratings in his first Tonight Show stint his refusal to have Stern on really angered Stern and he knows how to hold a grudge.
And really none of Howard's bits are original, and are basically public domain. The chicken picking a game? Hasn't that been done in some form for the past 50 years?
Jay's right in not acknowledging Stern. If a tree falls...
