Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban Welcome Baby Girl!

The Hollywood baby boom isn't over yet. Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have welcomed a baby girl, who was born via a surrogate. Faith Margaret Kidman Urban arrived Dec. 28 at Nashville's Centennial Women's Hospital.

"Our family is truly blessed, and just so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret," the couple said in a statement (via PEOPLE).

"No words can adequately convey the incredible gratitude that we feel for everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier."

The little girl joins 2-year-old sister Sunday Rose and Kidman's two adopted children with ex-husband Tom Cruise -- Isabella Jane and Connor Anthony.

Kidman met Urban in January 2005. They married on June 25, 2006.

Why surrogate? She had her other baby herself or were they having fertility problems? Seems strange she never mentioned trying for another baby. Congrats anyway!

People should remember the "clock is ticking". The older a woman is the more chance of problems of down syndrome, etc. More power to this couple for wanting more children and being able to afford to do this.

people should also remember she had trouble getting pregnant back when she was with tom cruise, and when she did she had a miscarriage, then she had a miscarriage when she first married keith urban, maybe she figures she was blessed to carry and give birth to one child and using a surrigote is what was healthiest for her and the new baby.

She couldn't have had a miscarriage with Cruise as he is impotent and can't father a child. Suri isn't his. She has a great deal of her biological father's good looks!

If she had a miscarriage and further problems having Sunday, a surrogate was a logical choice.

They most likely used a surrogate because she DID have pregnancy problems. In the past she has had miscarriages and a hard time conceiving Sunday Rose, so it makes perfect sense to use a surrogate. As for not saying anything look at some of the posts about her with gay men and I would not have said anything either. I hope the entire family is happy and I am glad for them. Even if they don't know me, I would like to say congratulations.

Actually Abbybunky, that would be her older eggs that would make possible chromosomal issues...and apparently she used her own egg.

...so there goes that theory.

Either she has a difficult time carrying, or she didn't want to carry and screw her bod up anymore.

First baby does little damage, second does a whole lot more.

She did get pregnant with her first baby. Maybe she had a hard time and didn't want to wait until she was 45 or so to have the second one. Lets not disect and analyze why they did it - it's really their business.
