Robert Pattinson Goes Red at the Golden Globes

Robert Pattinson is now a redhead, and he showed off his new 'do at the red carpet of the 2011 Golden Globes.

E! Online reports that when asked why his normally brown hair was red, he said, "I had to keep switching it between two movies." The two movies being 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn' and 'Water for Elephants.'

He added with a smile, "I thought it was a nice change."

Summit Entertainment recently released the first still from the upcoming 'Twilight' movie, and it looks like Edward (Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) are in bed, sharing what we can only assume is some post-nuptial bliss.

'Breaking Dawn' ups the ante on the series' sex and violence, and Twihards are curious about how far the film will go in its depiction of both.

'Breaking Dawn' is directed by Academy Award winner Bill Condon. Taylor Lautner also stars, along with Billy Burke as Charlie Swan. Returning members of the Cullen family include Peter Facinelli as Carlisle, Elizabeth Reaser as Esme, Jackson Rathbone as Jasper, Nikki Reed as Rosalie, Ashley Greene as Alice and Kellan Lutz as Emmett.

He looks incredibly handsome as always and I like the hair, but I don't know if it really looks red? Maybe it's just the picture...not that it matters, he could dye it blue and still be gorgeous...

I would call that hair color "auburn", not red.

He was so cute on the red carpet with Alexa Chung. He's just so humble and sweet all the time. I hope the red hair is for Breaking Dawn - Edward's hair is supposed to be a reddish/bronze color and so far it's just been mostly brown in the movies. Any which way, I'm super excited for Water for Elephants; the book was so good, I hope the movie is the same.

His hair definitely doesn't look "red" to me but maybe in person it's got a reddish tone.

He's still handsome and looked amazing last night.

His hair doesnt look red in the pic, but probably does look reddy-brown in actual. I hope that his new hair colour is for breakin dawn, can't wait till it's out in cinemas, definately goin to see it. I don't know how they are goin to do some of the sexual scenes though, there is quite alot of them, and I also don't know if they will do the part where he cuts through the womb when Bella give birth to Renesmee :S ??? But whatever happens I'm sure it will be brilliant like the others :]
