Jennifer Aniston: The Rachel Was 'Ugliest Haircut I've Ever Seen'

Jennifer Aniston has a famous head of hair -- but you'd be surprised at what she thinks of her most copied coif.

"Have there been disasters? I think that's a very relative term with hair. Let's say there have been moments I'd rather not relive, like that whole Rachel thing," she tells Allure of the 'Friends' 'do that started it all.

"I love Chris [McMillan, her hairstylist], and he's the bane of my existence at the same time because he started that damn Rachel, which was not my best look. How do I say this? I think it was the ugliest haircut I've ever seen. What I really want to know is, how did that thing have legs? Let's just say I'm not a fan of short, layered cuts on me personally, so I don't love revisiting that particular era," she adds.

The A-lister also has another well known asset: her bikini bod. And she works hard to keep it in shape.

"My stomach is not my hardest [challenge] -- my derriere is much more my challenge," she explains.

Her past few roles: "I didn't wear mascara in 'Just Go With It.' It's fun to transform a little bit -- what did I have to lose? I was ready to be silly and go with a full-out comedy, and it was the first time I felt truly sure about what I was walking into. Because with the last couple of movies, I wasn't completely sure, and I should have probably trusted my gut. For whatever reason, they all happen the way they're supposed to."

She's a goofball: "I'm actually comfortable in goofdom. Not taking myself seriously is one of my favorite things to do, because I don't. Ever."

Her bartending skills: "I can make two drinks really well: a dirty martini and a Bloody Mary. People are like, 'You make the best Bloody Marys,' and my secret ingredient is basically Mr. and Mrs. T Bloody Mary Mix. It's not some fancy mix that they do with the horseradish and Worcestershire sauce. It's the 7-Eleven of Bloody Marys. It's the trashiest."

Back in the days of 'Friends': "Look at Baby George. Baby Clooney. 'ER' was right next door to us on the soundstage. That was really fun. I remember when we used to do crossovers like that. See, NBC used to be really cool. Then, you know..."

On dogs: "Really, the most unconditional form of love that you can encounter is with a dog. They're excited the minute you come home, and they show the same amount of excitement every day."

Being a good host: "I should have been a party planner. I'm a good mixologist in terms of personality types. I do a tree trimming party every year -- 15 years I've been doing this. At my tree-trimming party we always do chili: turkey, regular beef and vegetarian. Everybody is satisfied. What ruins a party? A really drunk person. Trust me. It's happened."

She doesn't understand 'The Bachelor': "You know what I find fascinating? 'The Bachelor.' I was mesmerized by how these girls, they meet this guy, they have three dates together or something, and they're weeping as though they've just lost the love of their life. I don't understand that."

i never cared for that hair cut either. her hair stylist should have given her a hair cut that would've looked softer. any way, that's it.

Anytime I've ever seen her on a late night talk show over the years I've always thought "is that it? She doesn't have anything meaningful at all to say?" I dunno - I kind of agree with the shallow and dull part. Her movies are TERRIBLE. She should maybe just stick to posing for the tabloids who all seem to still be obsessed with her.

Any woman who has kept her girlfriends for years. Has got to have what all women look for in a friend trusting, loyal and generosity. She loves her Norman(her dog) and if it wasn't for Mr. and Mrs. S**t I would guess she would have remained with her husband. Ms.Aniston seems to respect her body and appears to be fiercely protective of her relationships. I love Jennifer Aniston and wish her continued success. Unlike others she does not rub our nose into her good fortune.

I loved her Rachel hair and hate the young style she is wearing now. Hasn't anyone mentioned to her that she isn't a teen/20 something anymore. Get a clue - get a new style or perhaps get a style at all. She always looks the same - change is good and she needs to have a hairdo that is today and not today 20 yrs ago. Her BFF could use a new do too.

If those aren't the most airbrushed photoshopped pics I've seen since every month on Oprah's cover of herself then I'll eat my PEOPLE MAG! Are we really sure that is even her? She can't act so maybe she can continue to unbutton her shirt, or hang a tie around her neck,,,, oh she has already done those a zillion time.....NO TALENT and keeps costing HOLLYWEIRED lots of money. Since all of her movies are bombs they are eventually going to figure it out and quit hiring her.

I think Jen is a lovely person. I'm not happy however with her attitude about her famous hair cut. To say that it was an ugly hair cut, knowing that thousands of women were going into salons asking for a "J.A." hair cut, is a bit insulting. Personally, I think Jen was at her most beautiful during her Friends years, and I loved her hair cut and was one of the gals asking for it at my salon. I liked her hair better then than now, but Jen is beautiful, and remains beautiful no matter what. I wish her well.

First off, Jennifer hated the "Rachel" haircut because she thought people were concentrating on her hair and not on her acting. I think she failed to realize that with a hit show like Friends, people were looking at everything. And for those who wonder why she gives boring interviews well what is she going to talk about. Her parents? She doesn't have contact with them. Her BFF's? Courtney is having marriage trouble so she won't bring her up. Chelsea made a pr nightmare for her so that won't work either. She has siblings but they are never mentioned. She doesn't have a boyfriend/husband and no children. All she has is some recipes and her body. She does do work for St. Judes, and I for the the life of me, can't figure out why she doesn't say more about that. There is a big difference between alerting the press when you make a big charitible donation and when you do Public campains for a charity. I think she has a lot of self esteem issues and until she truly faces them and lets them go, she will never really be happy. Her using her body to get attention smacks of desperation.

She should thank that haircut... that's what put her on the spot for many years. It was the "starter" of her vehicle to where she is now.
